June 2025 achievements!

kaiikaii Posts: 633 Incredible Poster
Hey everyone! Hope you've all been having a great June <3

It's time for another monthly achievement check-in! Are you proud of anything in particular that you've done this June? Feel free to write down as many achievements as you like - it's always the impact that matters, not the quantity! I'm so proud of you all :3

Here are my achievements:
- I got my results back for my BSc Psychology degree and I'll be graduating soon with a first class honours degree! I also achieved a 78 on my dissertation which I'm extremely proud of!
- I've finished a page of my sketchbook by filling it with doodles of faces, I'm happy that I wasn't fixated on how perfect my doodles looked :)
- I've been reading more often to relax

Good job for getting through June everyone, hope you all have a great July :3<3

@Sian321, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!! Ahhh I was so nervous on results day but when I saw my marks I felt so much relief! All my hard work has paid off and I'm incredibly thankful that I didn't give up when it was tough! I haven't actually planned on a celebration! I always thought that my graduation would be the celebration haha!

And I'm so incredibly proud of you for opening up more to your friends, it takes so much strength to be vulnerable - I'm so happy that you feel even closer to your friends, it sounds like they're so supportive :3

@Redemption, it's so lovely hearing your achievements - thank you so so much for sharing, it truly means a lot! Huge congrats on completing your confidence course - it's great that you've met new people and have a group chat! Well done!!

I also just wanted to say that although it might feel like you haven't achieved anything, you've done so much more than you know. Just the strength to get through each day, and not giving up on yourself is enough - and you're doing just that. It makes me really happy that you're starting to recognise your hard work and efforts - I'm super super proud of you and your progress <3

Oh wow its already that time of the month? Time has really flown by! June for me has been super busy and very interesting indeed.

    My June achievements:

    - As part of the employment support I get I was put onto a board making course in my local library where I have been learning how to play ancient game, research how they work then create my own. Mine is based off the ancient game of Albequrque (which I initially thought was a state in the US 😂). The aim of the game is to make a line of three with your beads/counters while taking out your opponent. Think of chess but with round clay balls. Google it it's a really interesting game. Mine I'd just a modern version made to be kid friendly and its called fish tanks 🤣 where you play as either team cats or team fish.

    - Not much of an achievement but I did officially age in June too (another year older 😂 *I feel like an old person right now lol)
    -
    - I started volunteering at my local charity shop again where I used to volunteer at back in 2019. It was so nice to go back there and help out too.

    - I started volunteering in my local library as part of the employment service support I revive for finding employment. It's been so fun and I'm getting to learn how the library works in general.

    - today (yes today) I bought a diamond painting which I started to do in my craft club. I haven't done a diamond painting in ages and normally my focus is so bad I give up. But I decided to persist and it's a stitch themed diamond painting too which is already mounted on board so once it's done I can them hang it on a wall. But where to put it? 🤔

Overall, June has been super fun but busy too.

I love reading this post every month, its so uplifting to see everyone's achievements!

Congratulations @kaii I bet that result was a huge relief and an amazing achievement!! I'm starting my dis next semester and I just know I'm gonna need so much perseverance to get through next year ahaha

@Amy22 Happy late birthday!! Super nice to hear you're getting back into volunteering at the old charity shop, and your library too. Diamond painting sounds really interesting, i might need to add it to my list of craft things to try!
...is Albequrque not a US state? i have some research to do...

This month my achievements are that i've arranged a work placement for a module i have next semester, I've been working on advocating for myself at work more when it comes to how a certain supervisor speaks to me,, aannndd probably the most exciting one (at least for me) I've finally had my first intake appointment to start my transition. I was so nervous before the appointment despite this being what i've wanted for so long, then once i was in there it went so well, I have been buzzing ever since it happened!

I look forward to hearing everyone else's achievements, its so great to take time to celebrate ourselves!

So Albequrque is actually a state in the US but its also an ancient game that you can play too. Diamond painting is really fun though I tend to find it a bit time consuming to do.

@Matthew_04, thank you so so much!! It really was a huge relief - best of luck with your dissertation!! What's your course?

Honestly, the whole dissertation process might feel like you have no idea what you're researching and that you don't understand anything, which is completely normal and okay! I guess the main things that I prioritised when writing my dissertation was ensuring that I really really understood what I was researching, that it was written in the academic style of other papers in your field of interest, and that people who don't study my subject can also understand what I'm writing about! But I'm sure you're going to be completely okay, you've totally got this!! <3

Wow amazing job for securing a placement for next semester! What will you be doing for your placement? And really good job for standing up for yourself - it's definitely not easy speaking up and being assertive, I'm really proud of you for doing this! Sorry to hear about how your supervisor speaks to you though, I really hope it gets better for you.

Ahhh I'm so so glad that the first intake appointment went really well! I bet it feels great to feel the support and relief for something you've been so nervous about despite it also being something you've always wanted! I'm so so excited for you and I'm sure that your transition journey will go well!

Thank you so much for sharing and hope you have a lovely July!! <3

    @kaii
    I'm studying psychology too!
Yeah I'm hoping if i can focus on using academic language and actually comprehending what i'm writing instead of regurgitating a journal article I'll be okay. I know it's gonna be a lot of work but i am actually so excited that i get to do this.

I am going to be doing my work placement at a charity centered around working with children and families - improving peer support and community connection - I am SO EXCITED!!

I feel like after so much work in my degree, transition and social life and stuff - the pieces are finally coming together, it's so exciting to see everything finally falling into place!!

I hope you have a wonderful July too!!
