@River this is gonna suck to say, but cry. Don't bottle it up, let it out. Whatever your feeling, even if your unsure of what it even is, let it out. it will continue to build if not. <3

@River that's one of the worst feelings that is. I'm sending you a virtual hug <3 because i know how hard it is to get to that stage. If you want, we can try and find ways to break it down and find different ways to let it all out?

@Redemption I'm all good thanks, how about you?

@DonnerKebab I'm ok just a bit tired and sweating, I'm not sure how I'm going to sleep though, its too hot I dont know what I'm going to do probably similar issue for a lot of us.

@Redemption I totally get it bro. have you got a fan at all?

Nah @DonnerKebab I could maybe sleep with the duvet cover off, I'm not sure haha. Maybe window open. Just so tired got up 7 45 for my course like I'm gonna have to get used to this getting into work though because it's probably around the normal time people get up for their 9 to 5s I do it but push myself and maybe hesitate like the course isn't too bad. Like airport staff have to get up 1, 2, 3 am my friend works in a shop there and he just gets up like nothing so I shouldn't find 7 45 an issue but I do it, go in everyday, quite a few don't, some quit.

@Redemption trust me, a damp tea towel on your head will do wonders. 100% get that window open, And that should keep you cool with half duvet, but you may want to get a thinner duvet with something called a lower tog. That will make things 100 times easier.

And you are right about getting up at that time, but it's hard at first to do it consistently. Once you get into the full routine of things after a short while, it will get a lot easier. It's just starting out that's hard bro.

@DonnerKebab I'll see what I can do, thanks for the advice.

Yh I'm sure it will get easier like at home point I was doing it for school like that started for about 8 30 8 45 but had to get up about 7 45 7 30 it would have been way easier as I just got lift there but got up that time for school and stuff , long time ago but yh I still did it and I'm still the same person. Also, they put a poll on WhatsApp who's going football and I just put no for Sunday, I'm not going for good now.

@Redemption yeah, when your out of that routine for so long, it's like a total reset going back into it after so long, and is a struggle at first. but over time, you'll become accustomed to it, like before with school. It's just a matter of persistence and time.

And i'm glad about the football. if they weren't being safe, and people were getting injured and nothing was being done, then you did the right thing not going in. By the way, did you manage to get them to remove that photo of you?

@DonnerKebab tbf I went to college after that till 2022 but yh a bit of time now. I'll get used to it, this is preparing me for it. I finish next week.

Yh nothing was done, 1 of the organisers injured someone himself. Not got them to remove the photo but they need to do it.

@River I'm guessing you had a bit of a high earlier today and yesterday? it could be something quite common with progress, which is two steps forward and one step back. You make great progress mentally, then sink a bit back, then repeat. It's quite common but it could explain a few things. It's demoralising for people, but it still is progress. Do you think this could be it?

@Redemption what time did you wakeup for to college and how often were you there, because for me it was 3 and a half days a week? usually after 10am i had to be there. It's a massive throw off from school timetables. And yeah, even 2022, that was 3 years ago, habits can be lost in that time. It's definitely a good thing rebuilding that habit for work.

And yeah, you do have a legal right to have that photo removed

@DonnerKebab good question, probably about 8am and 2 or 3, I think at 1 point 3 and half just after the 2nd lockdown. Yh they need to remove it or it's on the confront list. The course I won't kick off too as the organisation are going to help me, it's a bit like school and college but it feels like normal being there in my 20s like a few others around the same age 21 22 23 and there's a girl there who's recently turned 24, she's nice, she was like why don't I sit with her and the rest of them. The football can be good like theres a few alright people, most of the organisers are ok, that organiser that injured someone like why was his foot that high to hit someone's nose, that's a bit silly, I guess its a mistake though but there's a few without sounding judgemental strange people too. Then that guy going in on everyone like he's got a problem.

@River I think there's something related that might be a factor in it. If you've been anxious or depressed severely enough for long enough, certain stuff can happen, The brain when it's in an anxious state it sort of is in a fight or flight mode. This is what a counsellor once told me. If it's in it for long enough, it can't remain in it forever, so eventually, the brain stops being in fight or flight mode and just sinks into further depression, and then after a short while, back into fight or flight, then back into depression. It's confusing, and it made no sense to me at first, but apparently it's all subconscious stuff. it's why you might have surges in depression at times, and surges in anxiety, even when there's nothing changing and nothing directly causing them, different from usual. I imagine it might materialise in surges of energy but i'm unsure about that. It is possible this could be a factor in it.

And sorry for taking so long to respond, i've just got back from sorting my brother out. He had a meltdown, i'm guessing from the heat.

Yh I do have enough stress as it is, football isn't worth getting out of bed for even though socialising and exercise is important I need some decent offers on the table.

@River i know, and it's heartbreaking, but please remember that you've felt like this before, somewhat like at rock bottom, and even though you struggled to see it, things got a little better for a short while. That's the sort of happiness you need to try and cling onto. It can get better, and bit by bit, you can make progress. it's rarely a straight forward path progress is, there's times you'll take 10 steps forward and no steps back, times you might take 1 step forward and 10 steps back. progress isn't straight forward feeling a bit better day after day. It's not consistent, it includes knockbacks, relapses, but you still are advancing slowly over time if that makes sense.

Sorry if this sounds like rambling. I know it's not a lot and won't change how you feel now, but it might help you to see the bigger picture of the long term, and where this knockback sits in it i think.

@Redemption yeah, it will take time to rebuild your early morning habit, just time and persistence, and you are doing amazingly already with it. Keep it up bit by bit and you'll get there.

And hey.... i don't want to say, but i did say you might meet a girl there 😂. I'm glad your surrounded by peers and are working through youre overthinking issue's as well mate. It's progress and that's what counts. Being better than you were last week, and the next week, being better than that now, and do on. Progress is when your better than you were last week, and you are making that progress bro. Well done.

And you are right about football, it's just when they aren't playing safely, and the ref isn't doing his job, it stops being fun and starts being a worry i'm guessing, and you have enough stress on as it is without that.

@DonnerKebab I agree. I don't think it's romantic or anything, I've not spoken to her much tbh, I'm still so nervous talking to people. Thanks a lot though, progress is important. Yh I do have enough stress as it is, football isn't worth getting out of bed for even though socialising and exercise is important I need some decent offers on the table.

@Redemption yeah, i know what you mean, i'm having a laugh with you, but you never know. it might help you gain confidence talking to girls you like romantically, by speaking to one in person cordially, without romance or anything, just friendship.

Anyway, have a good night bro. Keep up the good work with your waking up routine and it will become easy after a while.
