@Redemption all good mate, have you ever seen top gear bro?

@DonnerKebab yh definitely I used to watch it all the time but jeremy clarkson got sacked so it went down hill from there, others took over but it was never the same. I was never allowed to get grand tour where he went after.
  • DonnerKebabDonnerKebab Posts: 838 Part of The Mix Family
@Redemption i only started watching the old top gear after they got sacked, which is what brought it to my attention, and i started watching all their episodes, not with the new lot, but just the ones with clarkson hammond and may, and then the grand tour after. The Vietnam and Cambodia episode was the best for me. I think you can get grand tour scenes on youtube if you can't get prime.

yeah, awesome stuff. It was always that trio that made top gear what it was.

@DonnerKebab all sounds cool. It was just clarkson who got sacked.

he punched producer in the face

Great trio though definitely. Are you into cars that much? Seems like you are.

@Redemption Hammond and May both quit following Clarkson getting sacked and left with him. May said he thinks he's a nob but he quite likes clarkson and it's very much a group thing between the three of them. if one gets sacked, the rest follow out the door.

And yeah, i'm a fair bit of a car guy. I mainly watched it for the trio, but i learnt a fair few things about cars along the way.

@River they are being a bunch of twats. Whatever they are saying is total bullshit for reasons specified earlier:
@River you have a fucked up family no offence. They are talking out there arses. If they think it's okay to say that, right near their parents grave, near your grandma's grave, to somebody grieving for them, that tells you everything you need to know about them and their character, or lack of it.

Trust me, if you were any of that, you would not be able to do ariel hoop, or any of the moves you did. Not drinking alcohol is good, not eating anything is bad. Please don't listen to these absolute morons.

They sound like the bullying type, to go for those already struggling.

@toffuna101 fair enough. It's always best you don't share anything identifying. I'm glad you've made a big milestone with your first online purchase though.

@River you're right to. Bunch of wankers, the lot of them. Anybody would hate it in that position too, but i want you to know, you've done amazingly today. it was always going to be a difficult day, but you made it through mostly, and you're still standing. proud of you.

@DonnerKebab cool. nah false call, it wasnt to do with me or that car. I thought it was me though, like my family reported me missing to them or some shit like its happened before, I was at my mate Andy's house and they rang his dad asking where I am and shit so extremely embarrassing coz I was 20 as well. Similar stuff has happened to like I was late home from college once and they were about to call the police and everyone panicking and shit like its so embarrassing this stuff.

@Redemption sounds tough. It's worse having some freedom but having the fear of something like that hanging over you that you'll be reported as a missing for a few hours here and there, than to have no freedom at all but know where you stand.

@DonnerKebab yh its annoying like if I was missing for like around 24 hours no contact fine but they literally did after half an hour to an hour plus. Even then they were panicking a little saying where am I like theres school kids out and all that all the time yet when I go out that happens. Tbf its not so bad now like the police visiting was to our house but it was nothing to do with me or thar car. My overthinking I feel has been bad at my course Im just questioning, "am I doing that wrong? Am I doing this wrong?" I'm scared the staff say stuff badly about me and laugh at me when I go home I come across like I have a problem and scared what people think of me, every little mistake I overthink, I'm worried about being judged, I have all of that in general like if my friends don't respond to me I start jumping to conclusions like they don't like me or if they leave me on seen I start to worry. I'm just scared I'm getting judged negatively by everyone. Really people leaving me on seen, it just can be some people's nature, they don't know what to say etc, personally I think it's best to use communication but not everyone is me like everyone does stuff differently, even if someone does ignore it is not necessarily anything to do with me, especially as I have done nothing wrong like its probably not like most people would probably say if they had an issue with me if there was one or maybe block me or something which doesn't really happen. It's probably most if not all of the time just me overthinking like same with my course if I'm coming across that bad id get a word etc or kicked off the course if I've done anything that bad. That's kinda another small fear I get scared of doing something with no intention and getting kicked off because it's happened before I got kicked out of college years ago for no reason literally no valid reason, I got kicked off a forklift course and had loads of setbacks, Ive had staff who I thought were genuine laugh at me before in college, its kind of hard to trust people and believe people are genuine. Anyway sorry for rambling so long bro.

@Redemption don't apologise it's all good bro. This is a place to vent. It's normal in those circumstances to develop a fear of messing up, and doing something wrong. And with setback after setback, it'll definitely make things worse for that. But what matters is your taking action to overcome it. it doesn't mean it's not there, but you're overcoming it bit by bit. The confidence building course is the perfect example. Keep fighting on bro. keep overcoming that fear cause your doing well.

@River it's fine. I think i already know what it is your talking about. It's normal to experience that feeling on this day given it's significance, and add in the fact your family are acting like utter nobs, and having that feeling is understandable. There might not be anything i can say to make the feeling go away or get any better, but you're an amazing friend on here, and i want to say again, you're a great person and don't deserve any of this hardship, and i'm here to vent everything too. Don't worry about triggers, this is a thread for venting things that can trigger people. Sending you a virtual hug <3
