Sorry everybody, missed the last day or two. A few things, @eylah awesome phone case. I know it's been tricky, but we all love you. You're an awesome person and we aren't ever gonna stop telling you that. @Rose113 You're braver than you think for reaching out. Be proud of yourself for that. If your friend is going radio silent, let them. My gran always used to tell me, don't bother with those who don't bother with you. You did a kind thing letting her pick her own path without following you around course to course. Your doing her a favour as hard as it is. Another thing to be proud of yourself about. @shannon_164 Hope your doing okay with everything. I know you mentioned college issues. Not much, also about the football I think they planned to do a drink after the game today but when we got off the pitch for the next people to come everyone just went home lol. Been thinking of going on a cruise at some point though would be so cool just need to get a job then ill have the money. What about you bro?

@Redemption Just the usual. Had my cousin visit me yesterday. he moved from the UK to the US 30 years ago, met him about 6 months ago and he offered to help sponsor a Visa for me to the US, but it's still an extremely difficult process to get over there. I need a job, some experience, and then i've got a good chance. Just trying to figure out which path to take now.

Anyway, a cruise sounds awesome mate.

@Rose113 That's awful news, but, it's not over. It isn't until you say it is. I know it might feel like it, but it isnt. Work with your current college or social support system, and maybe get your doctor to make a statement perhaps to support getting one, and try and get an ECHP put in place and re apply.

When it comes to ECHP, my brother got his very young and it was called something entirely different and the system was different, so I'm unsure as to the current way you get them in the current system, but these colleges will have high demand, which probably means they need people on ECHP's already, to avoid normal functioning people taking slots from those with ECHP's. It's a rather cruel system. It often fails those who need it. those who need to start getting help have to fight to get it. Do what you can to try and get an ECHP in place, and try not to be too disheartened. It's a setback, but it's not the end of the road. Far from it.

It's normal to feel gutted, but keep fighting for it rose, cause it's what you deserve. A college that is right for you.

@Rose113 I know it's not fair. Especially when it's been system after system failing you again and again for so long, it gets people to this point. Your unbelievably strong for getting to this point honestly speaking.

But you deserve that place, and, even though it seems remote and distant, it might still be possible. I know you're probably feeling like there's no fight left in you, but sometimes it's just that we need an extra little push and a helping hand through it. I can help talk you through some of getting a ECHP if you want, how to start it, who to apply to, and what sorts of evidence you'll need. Cause it can sometimes feel like drowning in paperwork with it, but you deserve that place. They rely on people not applying because it's too much paperwork and to complex, at least my council does. Take a while to recover from this setback, but please, don't give up, and get what you deserve from them.

I know it's not the same, but my local council cut funding for my brothers school transport, and so i had to start paying for it or else no school for him. First application to keep it going failed, second one did too, and that's when i felt like rock bottom with it. But, with an appeal and a few legal loopholes, it worked finally. It's one of the reasons i never went to dorms at uni actually cause my money was going on his transport for like a year and a half. So i'm pretty good with the whole legal loopholes and paperwork side and what needs doing if you need help with it, if you choose to pursue it.

I think, and sorry if this sounds like i'm rambling, but i think you're probably feeling at that rock bottom stage, and that's the worst part of it. I'm sending you a virtual hug right now rose and am happy to talk you through everything you need to get an ECHP and reapply, if you choose to pursue it. Here to talk too if you want to just vent about it.

@eylah That's okay eylah. You don't have to do anything. Cry, not cry, it doesn't matter, just make sure you remember how loved you are here and you don't keep anything bottled up, and express yourself however you feel whether it comes out as crying or whatever else. @Redemption not at all. It's draining stuff I imagine, and when you're not even getting paid out of it, it can really grind you down. Even minimum wage jobs will land you a reward of some kind at the end of the gruelling day, so i wouldn't say it's too bad if you didn't go volunteering today. If other's were depending on you coming in, like a shopkeeper at a charity shop, and you were on rota for the day with nobody else in, then it would be a bit wrong without notice, but outside of that, not really.
