@Redemption I very much did enjoy it. It was really needed, just quite tired at the moment probably because of being ill so I just wanted comfort food, and comfort food I got.

What I’ve found has helped me with drinking more water is always having a full bottle by my bed, in the car, wherever I sit really. And replacing some of my coffees with glasses of water. It’s massively helped, I get less headaches because of it.

@independent_ atleast you have your appetite.

Staying hydrated is fair enough. Hopefully you get well really soon.

@Redemption true, if only that appetite wasn’t for unhealthy foods!! But unhealthy foods are better than nothing.

How are you doing today? I’m glad your course went well, definitely 100% avoid comparing yourself to other people. Everyone’s on their own path in life aren’t they and that woman could just have been lucky

    I feel stupid :/
Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything.

relapsing is apart of the journey @Rose113 - it doesn’t mean you’ve failed or ruined anything. how are you feeling now? are you safe? we care about you <3

@Redemption hard agree on time flying by, feels like yesterday I was 17 and just deciding what to do. Or just starting to decide, I’ll be 23 in December and I’m still deciding :joy: hopefully the course helps.

@Rose113 like Shannon said, it’s part of the journey. You are not stupid at all. I always think if someone relapses (I know this has been the case for me) there were so many feelings there and it’s a coping mechanism. You can start the clock again, and any amount of time without it is amazing and something to be proud of. Especially when feelings are big and you’re just looking for a way to escape from them.

Oldie you @independent_ , no I'm joking but yh either way like getting a bit older can have benefits too like maturing next experiances etc. It's just pressuring when we don't feel like where we should be in life but like you said we're all at our own stages etc.

Hey @eylah I’m ok thank you. I’ve had the necessary meds and got into my nice warm comfy bed - I’m not particularly tired yet but hopefully at least resting is better than nothing lol.

    How are you?

@Rose113 That's insanely good marks for maths. Your gonna totally smash it.

And, i know the relapse is gonna make things feel hard and make you feel upset, but the fact that you lasted so long against those urges is something to be proud of. Nobody get's better and overcomes that sort of stuff in one go. It takes time, it's never success instantly. You did amazing this time round, and your gonna do amazing again holding out. Your stronger than you think you are and were all proud of you.

@Redemption @independent_ I'm 23 last month, so practically nearing retirement age. Covid lockdown messed up my first year of uni, never caught up properly socially, cause i had a whole host of other issues too.

But, sometimes i think about it on the grand scale of life. I see some people who were nothing much until about 30, moved abroad, and started fresh from scratch and built a lot for themselves and a life. At the end of the day, i consider young adult to be 18-32, as does the US census bureau. I still got about 10 years of being young and so do both of you. Plenty of time to figure stuff out. You don't have to have everything worked out or know what your doing in your early 20's.

@independent_ Hope your feeling better. It's usually the first few days which are the worst.

@eylah A friendly reminder that your an inspiration to all of us and that your awesome <3 . You didn't deserve to go through that tough time as the hospital yesterday. Hope things start to feel better for you friend.

@shannon_164 Congrats on the level 2 youth work course. If you're a fraction as nice to them as you are to everyone on here, then you're gonna make a damn fine youth worker.
