im struggling tonight quite a lot my mind is fucked. sry for swearing
So, what's bothering you friend? What's on your mind?
So, the flashbacks. Do you want to talk about them? it might help to process them a bit. I'm here to talk you through them if you want. I'm not very good company, but it beats nothing i reckon.
Just my check in to send hugs to you all - I’m sorry you’re all having such a hard time.
I haven’t been online much because frankly I’ve been finding it a bit overwhelming, with everything that’s gone on here recently and just a bit of what I might sometimes refer to as support fatigue, I’m putting so much into helping other people at the moment that I forget I have to stop and think
And for your ptsd, i don't know much about it generally, but have you told a therapist or gp about the flashbacks and it possibly being ptsd? They tend to jump to when they hear ptsd suggested.
Thank you @DonnerKebab too for your words, and I noticed you mentioning you're 'surviving' - we're here also if you'd like to share what you're going through or seek support.
@eylah , I will share below a few resources which might feel supportive around flashbacks:
https://napac.org.uk/flashbacks/
https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/post-traumatic-stress-disorder-ptsd-and-complex-ptsd/self-care/
How are you feeling this morning? What might you need today, whether thats rest and relaxation? Distraction? Connection with others?
thankyou @Sian321 i will have a look at the links thankyou so much
So for your iPhone, i think you go into settings, display and brightness, and i think they call it night shift. I only use android so i'm not 100% of apple's way of doing it, but it will block out most blue light from your phone, which is responsible for supressing the brains natural sleep cycle. Any screens also supress it, especially before bed. Screen brightness too is a factor. Some things you may just want to try as it might help.
