Invisible_meInvisible_me Posts: 388 Listening Ear
Hi.
I've started having momebts where I feel dizzy and light headed, out of balance like I'm unable to bear my own bodys weight (I'm v.slightly underweight though).
I had a fainting episode in Dec after a massive meltdown byt left it.
Now past week or so, I'm feeling dizzy as described above neatly every day or every othwr day. Like could be after a meltdown, I'm slightly hungry. I have severally meltdown etc so dunno why I've started having this now?? But I'm scared to go my doc ref to other theead.

Hi, Im sorry to hear you're feeling dizzy and all that, its definitely not fun at all. It sounds like it could be to do with stress considering it's after meltdowns. Also are you drinking enough water? Having enough food, sugar etc?

Possibly could be stress. But why now? Like I've been more stressed before and my meltdowns aren't anything new?

I'm eating and drinking better than before- that's what I don't get?

Unsure, sometimes that just happens like the stress has built up. So you have enough sugar?

We can’t give any medical advice on here and as someone who had dizziness frequently please speak to your gp, there can be many reasons why and yes it might be stress but it’s better to rule out anything underlying that’s causing it first
Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything.

It can be normal sometimes, if it gets regular maybe see your GP

if youre worried abt being dizzy like others have said pls see your gp bc they can do tests etc and get your history up to see whats going on. also you could look at nhs 111 website but definitely see your gp. sending you hugs 🫂
ppl dont always need advice. sometimes all they rly need is a hand to hold. an ear to listen. and a heart to understand them. 🧸

@Invisible_me Think of it like this. It doesn't necessarily have to be a single major stressful incident worse than all others over your life to cause stress issues severe enough to create physical medical issues. Sometimes it's just a case of the straw that breaks the camels back if you've ever heard of that saying.

Our mental health is like a brick wall, solid and strong. And a single devastating thing could knock it down, like a bulldozer knocking down said wall. But it can also be worn down over time by lots of little things that weaken it, and eventually cause it crumble over the smallest knock. It doesn't have to be a major stressful event, it can be lots of stress building up over years is what i'm trying to say.

That being said, you do need to see a GP or 111 for advice, because it might be nothing, but it also might be something. There are all sorts of things that can cause dizziness. It's best to rule them out. I know you said your GP is not nice to talk too, so try talking to 111 over the phone for advice, and they can point you in the direction you need to be pointed in, or give you help themselves. But at the very least, you could walk into your GP's office and say, 111 told me to come here. That will get them to shut up and listen instead of dismissing it. Your concerns will have more weight behind them and be harder to dismiss. Please don't ignore this, just in case.

    Thank you @Redemption @eylah @DonnerKebab for replies...
I might just wait for another episode and then contact 111 perhaps. I've got bloodtests due but the care corderinator said she'll arenage it next time she phones (god knows when this will be).
It prob could be a build up.

@Invisible_me Well, just take care of yourself until then okay. it will most likely be stress built up over time, but just being on the safe side never hurt anybody.
