(Mentions of suicide) really annoying when I get depressed at the gym

bignosegirly0bignosegirly0 Posts: 219 Trailblazer
Often, it’s difficult for me to pull myself out of an episode. And when I’m at the gym, I have low energy and motivation to do anything, because all I want to do is lie in my bed whilst thinking about killing myself.

And when I don’t make progress at the gym, I don’t see much change with my body, and then that makes me more depressed

Hey @bignosegirly0, I can hear how difficult it is for you to pull yourself out of an episode, and how progress at the gym contribute to this. It's brave to be vulnerable and share our feelings when we're not feeling great, so well done for that. Are there any things that you've found are helpful in getting through an episode once it happens? We're here to support you through this.

@Azziman the annoying thing is that it's very difficult for me to get out of my episodes. The shortest they can last for is half an hour. Whilst the longest they can last for is a whole week. And even when I engage in my favourite activities, I still feel low. So the best I can do when having to complete tasks is do them depressed. Whether I do a good job or not, as long as I do it, then that's all that matters.

@bignosegirly0 I really hear all of these heavy feelings and I can imagine it might be super tiring to have these episodes and be disheartening too, is that right?

Have you noticed any triggers in particular for your episodes at the moment?
