Winter Watch Party Dec 2024

Hi everyone, we're very excited to invite you all along to a cosy Winter watch-party via Netflix this coming Sunday 15th December between 1-3pm! <3

This event will be hosted by myself and @briannat , and everyone is welcome! It will take place via Netflix Teleparty, which you can install here: https://www.teleparty.com/. We'll be watching one movie together, and we need your help choosing! So please cast your vote for your favourite option below.

We really hope you can make it to spend some quality time together and get a few hours of rest and cosiness at this busy time of year! The link to our Netflix Teleparty will be shared here on this thread the morning of the event, and in the meantime, please download the Teleparty extension to your device if you wish to join us!

If you can't come along this Sunday, we'll also be running a second watchparty on Sunday 22nd December 1-3pm as well.... Or come along to both!

    @eylah that's okay! Thank you for letting me know. When we do the final tally up at the end of the week, @briannat and I will make sure we + one more vote to Paddington for you.

    Would you feel comfy telling me which one you accidentally voted for so I can minus one point from that at the end too?

    Yeah @Faolan teleparty just looks like netflix with a chat box next to it! I'm pretty sure turning the subtitles on only turns them on for yourself and not others so you have the choice!

    Hi this looks really good and amazing btw but I just wanted to ask what if say someone didn't have netflix for example, would this still work? I unfortunately dont have a Netflix account so I may not be able to attend this unfortunately but to those who do I hope you enjoy the film and have lots of fun too <3.

    Hey everyone, I'm really looking forward to the Watch Party today! I can conirm that 'That Christmas' is our official winner, so that's what we'll be watching together <3

    I wanted to say I'm so sorry to anyone who doesn't have the Netflix platform, and therefore, won't be able to join. This feels like a really important learning, and I'd love to make sure that in the future anyone who wishes to attend can. Each of you are always, always welcome, so we'll try to find an alternative for the next one!

    As a little reminder for today's Watch Party, while @briannat and I will be there to watch alongside you, this event won't necessarily be a space of emotional support like Support Chat - more a space for us to decompress and hang out together. If you are looking for emotional support, however, Support Chat will be running this evening as usual, and of course you can continue to post on Boards, or DM the Mix too - we'll be here for you <3

    It looks like Teleparty needs to be on either Google Chrome, Opera, and Microsoft Edge. @Rose113 , may I ask if you're able to access either of these browsers?
