It would be great to hear about your first day of work
It's not as fun as it sounds especially since my work load is low and I have remote working as a option.
First day went well, had todo load of training and got todo some detached too and had to get my work laptop and have building induction
Yesterday was working from home and had session in evening (I was sitting in on)
Today was a blend of remote and in office working (I wasn't suspose to remote work I was suspose to have time off I think) I also had to pick up rest of my equipment and did some more detached youthwork where I got alot more hands on
I just wanted to say that I am so proud of you for getting through your first day of work it’s not easy and it’s such a big adjustment for anybody and just wanted to say sending you so much hugs and a big well done. I hope you get some time at the weekend to just relax and do something nice.
Low work load is common for new guys plus I don't think they've had a full time detached person in a while
You should see my calendar for this week, got alot of sessions and a few meetings
My paperwork load is low but that's expected due to it being todo with session planning etc. Mostly
Yes and no, atmo I'm getting to know the sessions
My managers only advice to me was watch your hours it's very easy to over work
Luckily though we are able to work from home which helps with flexi hours and we all often work from home from looks of things
Even those moments where you're like "I'll just throw an extra 30 mins in here to get this done" can add up over time and bite you later if you're not working sustainably.
For me it's sessions over running
