You don’t get a notification if you have someone on mute and they tag you. Think might be worth still getting a notification otherwise to others you look bad if still ignoring

    You do get notifications? I get notifications from people I have on mute who have tagged me. I get emails too with the notification and the comment I was tagged in

    I do not get any notifications from people who I’ve got on mute. Not even notification saying they have commented on a post I’ve made

    I got notification and an email from someone who tagged me yesterday who I have on mute...
    Maybe check your settings

    Ok. I was just saying that you do get notifications and email notifications from people who are muted because I got them yesterday from people I have muted.

    Happy to send @TheMix screenshots of the notifications and emails if need proof that I get them from those I have muted

    I mean I ain’t lying. I do not get notifications and I’m sure it’s because of the mute function. And just telling the mix it would be good to fix this

    Well the next time someone who I’ve got muted tags me I’ll be sure to screenshot that too. I mean don’t think I need the proof but yeah I’m sure the mix will take my word for it

    Oh wait. It doesn’t show up when I click the notification icon. But when I click “all notifications” it shows. But yeah who actually clicks on that

    Thank you both for sharing this - it sounds like there could be a bug with notifications and how it's linking up to the mute feature. We believe that email notifications and notifications shouldn't be happening if you've got someone on mute - we will look into this and keep you updated.

    We're going to spend a bit of time testing as a team and will report this to Vanilla which is the platform the community uses and they fix all of our bugs on the community so hopefully, they'll be able to see what's happening. We'll keep you updated :)
