I haven’t seen people speaking about this here yet but save our children movement needs to be spoke about a lot. it shouldn’t be we should keep speaking about. Child trafficking is a massive thing and we need to be their voices for them.

Every 30 seconds a child is sold for sex labour or organ harvesting.

Please start making yourself more aware about child trafficking and what it is and the signs
https://www.nspcc.org.uk/what-is-child-abuse/types-of-abuse/child-trafficking/
Please read every single word on this page. Even if you know about it. We need to keep this clear in our mind. No child should have to go through it 💔The government isn’t doing enough. Keep the conversations going and if have anything to add please do.

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

Awesome to see you posting about a cause you care about @Shaunie, and you're right that it's not talked about very much (if at all), which isn't ideal when people know so little about it.

I've had a look over the NSPCC page - really interesting stuff. I didn't consider the different forms of trafficking before (sex trafficking, labour, etc). A super complex issue for sure and it's definitely worth familiarising yourself with the signs so that, as you say, we can be their voices. :)

I do want to say that, if you're sharing examples of criminal cases, it's important to make sure you include sources for those. Even just a name so people can check the information is legit. It's quite easy to share graphics like that but often they don't have anything verifiable in them, which can mean you might be sharing false information or propaganda without realising it.

Similarly, I feel an obligation to point out that COVID-19 is more deadly than the flu. This was a pretty widespread belief when the outbreak first happened, but has been debunked since. The National Geographic published an article on this based on US statistics in July, which says:

Using the handful of studies that have calculated infection-fatality rates for seasonal flu, Meyerowitz-Katz determined that somewhere between 1 and 10 people die for every 100,000 that are infected. For COVID-19, that number ranges between 500 and 1,000 deaths per 100,000 infections. By his calculations, the coronavirus is likely to be 50 to 100 times more deadly than the seasonal flu, which supports the Columbia University findings.

It's really important we don't downplay the seriousness of COVID-19, and that we all share information responsibly by looking to reputable news and research outlets for information. It's easy to get drawn in by social media posts with no sourcing, but so often they're not true. The thing about Hillary in that last post looks to be unfounded (fact check), and it feels like that post is trying to stir up controversy and hysteria rather than convey anything well-founded and legitimate. The all-caps might be a red flag.

That said, I don't want to detract from the heart of your post - that child trafficking is something we should all be more aware of and pay attention to. It deserves more conversation than it gets. :)

I've also moved this thread over to Change The World where it fits a little better. :)
