Hey everyone,

With social media being so accessible, it can be really easy to check up on your partner if you're in a long distance relationship.

How would you talk to your partner if you're weren't happy about something you saw on their social media accounts without feeling or looking like you were checking up on them?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

    Hi Aife,

I personally believe that being direct and honest is the best way to confront the situation. Tell them that you noticed something on their social media, and how it made you feel, and that you'd like to talk about it. Being honest and open is the key to good communication, which is fundamental for good relationships!x

    Much love <3

I've done this a couple of times while I've been with my current partner! Like @Azziman, I think being totally honest when I've got a problem is the best way to go. In the past I've just screenshotted it, sent it to him and asked him about it. I'm interested in what he's doing and he is with me so I'd never feel like I was checking up or vice versa! I believe honesty's the best policy

I personally think it's all about trust and honesty is the way to go.

Trust and honesty is the basis of what I would expect in any relationship. Importantly from the outset, people should be open enough to tell the other of any mishaps or wrong relationships in their past so a touchy subject isn't found out later on. It's best they discuss as earliest as possible in their relationship. That way, trust starts building up. Or should.

If couples play together, then they are happy together. If though one of the partners senses something is "off", instinctively they will visit their other's social media even if it is nosy, just to get a handle on how their darling is feeling.
