What are the most bizarre films you've ever seen?
I watched Dogtooth the other week and found it one of the strangest and most disturbing films I've seen in ages. It's about a controlling man who keeps his teenage kids within the grounds of his home, banning them from watching television, or meeting anybody other than a colleague of his, who he pays to have sex with his son... It's really creative though, in how he controls them...
Waking Life is probably one of my favourite films, as it's so thought provoking and interesting...
Delicatessen is another awesome, wonderfully weird film...
How about you? What head fuckery do you love?

The Feast trilogy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feast_%28film%29
Normal film on the face of it - the world is attacked by weird alien monster things but it just gets weirder and weirder i.e. the third film contains two spanish wrestling midgets, an elderly woman gets catapulted at a wall and explodes in a green goo, a crazy women bites a mans penis off, one of the monsters shags a cat... i could go on but it has to be seen to be believed
I can't really write about it, as there is so much more to it than a bunch of school kids killing themselves and I wish I understood all that was going on in it. But yeah one to watch.
If you like Battle Royale than I guess you may like this one. Although I think after you get your head round the ideas in Battle Royale, the film isn't that wonderful. But still good.
That opening scene was pretty twisted, at least when that fairground music came on....
I'd have to go with Tetsuo: The Iron Man & I'm a cyborg but thats OK. Wasn't terribly clear what was going on in either film. :crazyeyes
While watching it, you think it takes you a whole day finishing it. There is not a lot of dialogue just long endless camera takes of a landscape of a country you don't even know. They don't know where they are (vikings?) and neither do you.
Probably not the weirdest, but pretty damn weird.
3 short stories written by Irvine Welsh. Quality stuff.

Probably quite tame compared to Battle Royale!
this film, i could i forget about it! martin clunes, haha
I really want to see that. I've seen some clips and it's the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever seen. Apparently the director/main actor couldn't get anyone to hire him or fund his projects, so he managed to scrape enough money together to fund it himself. But obviously now everyone knows why no-one would hire him.
So natural.
Such a powerful performance.
And again.
Yet more.
Oh no, he didn't get the promotion.
Basket Case, for this scene. http://youtu.be/ok7fOwdk2gc
and this isn't the movie I was looking for, but it's similar to the one I'm thinking of. http://youtu.be/xxWXDP6Pfhk
The Room is showing in London.
lol
Haha, been years since I've seen that.
Could you understand any more than half of what was being said?
1) Vanilla Sky
2) Antichrist
Those were both weird IMHO :eek2:
i saw absolutley no point in that film ..
and, Como Agua Para Chocolate. OR Like water for chocolate
a mexican film, i think it was meant to be a tragic love story. Very odd IMO.
Thanks for the review which confirms that I shall be avoiding this film altogether!
Yeah, I have scottish family, it wasn't a accent/dialet issue, it was a 'what the fuck' issue
haha, my friends would be better, she did it for her actual english coursework.
I just say, thank god i didnt waste money paying for the cinema - we went on a school trip.
Oh i do love it, dont get me wrong!
its just very weird.... probably why i like it haha.
im reading the book at the mo actually
just hate the bullying i have to face for enjoying it though :grump:
