Any recommendations for lectures you've enjoyed that are online?

But if you can be more specific on what topic you wanted, that would be more helpful to recommend any.

I seem to remember I enjoyed the emerging mind series back in 2003
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/reith2003 - you'll need something that can play Real Audio (.ram) files for this - but you can read the transcript if not (while reading it is quicker, I usually find the spoken delivery imparts much more information)
I don't know what other years are available, but they switched to iplayer in 2007
A lot of institutes and societies are putting their lectures online. Here's a few:
Royal Institution's Christmas Lectures - although aimed at kids these are really fascinating.
RSA Vision Videos - if social innovation is your thing.
LSE - if Economics and Political Science floats your boat.

For one-off lectures I loved Schama's talk at Google around the time he published 'Rough Crossings' - a fascinating talk that challenges conventions

Btw have you seen Ken Burn's The War - beautiful piece of WW2 social history and well up there with his work on the Civil War and the West.

While not a lecture- it's more a conversation, In Our Time (Radio 4 again) often covers interesting topics.
Just watched this, very funny
Wish my a-level history had been taught like that, might have got more students on to the course then. By 2nd year there was only 2 of us left haha
