Economics.
Yeah, well thought out detailed response that one. Thanks.
You can't reply with one word answers here - please justify what you mean.
As to peacekeeping in general, with a slant on Bosnia -

I've been watching this thread on and off, and tbh I don't agree with your points. I see where you're coming from, but you strike me as being more than slightly obtuse when it comes to your argumentation. I've seen 'your type' on here over the past 7 years or so, and it's always the same thing. You hide behind a veneer of pseudo-intellectuality, and your dialogue with the many posters on here has been proof of that. You try and tie the discussion up with pointless excursions down etymological cul-de-sacs that don't lead anywhere, and pretend to be 'logical' and 'straightforward' when what you come across as in reality is simply exasperating and oblique.
While you might think you're being very worldly, philosophical, and intellectual, and seeing beyond what 'the masses' see, people read what you're writing and can only see your attempts as ill-informed, manifestly ignorant of wider global processes, and wilfully short-sighted in incorporating supporting evidence to your claims.
The worst thing though is that despite everyone disagreeing with you and offering counter-arguments, you still believe you are right and you'll refuse to back down until you have the last word. One of the worst things an academic can do is to believe that their work is the definitive word on a particular topic and refuse to integrate advances in their field, and when I read your posts that's exactly what I think of. But no, I don't think you're a retard. I just think you're a very misguided individual.
He threw in the gems, "there can't be an economic collapse because the economy doesn't exist" and "wars dont exist because countries dont exist" and hell, basically, everything doesn't exist.
Seeker i just bleedin said!
Calm down old hoss
I was thinking of Monocrat tbh. Was Seeker Monocrat?
AYE ...I'VE GOT AN EXCUSE ...I TOLD YOU ABOUT it this morning!:)
In the case of the bosnian conflict (and this logic holds true for all conflicts that an outisde agency interferes in, from a war to a domestic between man and wife), the war that the two opposing ideologies have to have has been curtailed.
It will sit and wait until it can be fully exacted, the same as all insane delusions. There is something in peopel that means they would rather the world burn than change their minds when gripped by mad fantasy. (Religion being oe of them) .
The bosnian conflict is not over. It cannot end until the ideas that fuel it are extinguished and that can only be done by those who hold the ideas finally tiring of them. All over the globe we can see the "fruit" of those who have rejected nonsense such as religion in favour of the scientific method used to create weapons and other horrors to be sold to those around the globe who still pray for rain and believe in various voodoo rubbish, with disastrous results.
In the same way that a policeman who interferes in a marital dispute merely ensures that the violence will escalate (due to immutable economic laws) unless the two can be seperated, so it is with any conflict that any stronger party intervenes in.
Economics is the study of hidden losses and gains arising from any action. I could go on, and will probably have to.
To have a military capable of intervening that actually went to bosnia, millions of people had to be attacked, millions of people were never born due to the economic diversion into these non productive enterprises and millions of people had their lives cut short by various amounts as well.
In comparison, the (merely delayed) deaths in bosnia are small, chump change.
Sorry, did I miss the part where the person being defended was killed?
Otherwise interesting post... will think about a reply
that's the name!
edit: oops...
Ahh rumbled.
I just popped back to warn you about the state of play in the economy - i.e. it's completely fucked but couldn't resist a small intellectual exercise or two.
Never can! Sigh......
Best of luck in the future, I'll probably get kicked again now.
Please believe me whan I tell you that the economy is toast and the situation is incredibly serious. Starving people in the streets serious. State watching is what I do, and they are doomed.
As usual they are going to drag everyone else down with them.
Take care folks!
Well thanks for being honest man
Bye
Do me and MR get a prize?
