i know i am probably being impatient but i sent my uni application off on 24th of december....i've still not heard a peep! all i've had is the letter from UCAS saying they had recieved my application and gave me the code so i can check it online.
but when i check online all it says is 'you're application has been sent off for consideration'
i want to hear something! even if its that i've not got in!

What are you hoping to do at uni?
I'm hoping to go to UEA to do nursing...then midwifery afterwards!
If you know you want to be a midwife then why dont you train to be one straight off, rather than doing your nurse training first? :chin:
It's alright...not what I thought. But I suppose you might have different experiances. It is fun when on placement...although 12 hour shifts and 7am starts are a killer :crying:
Are you hoping to do the 18month top up course? It was in the nursing times today and also a midwife mentioned that many places are making qualified nurses who want to go into midwifery start from the beginning, as they are trying to stop the top up course  . It might change but thats just the situation at the moment.
Although saying that we always got advised to do adult nursing first then specialise. That way you can work in general and have a wider knowledge, not just limited to peads, midwifery etc
as for the work load/long shifts....i work 12 hours shifts at the moment so that wont be a problem for me and i've already done 18 months at uni on this course 4 years ago so i know what im letting myself in for!
Thats alright then at least you have an idea what to expect! And have some care experiance. I wish I had and hadn't done it straight from college ans school
Are you doing the degree or diploma? I'm doing the diploma but contemplating topping up with degree modules in my third year :chin: . Not sure yet, but I don't start my third year yet till May so hopefully will have decided.
i am doing the diploma, well if i get in that is!!
i just want to know NOOOOOW!!!!
Don't worry you will
It does just seem to take forever
I didn't know you could apply for the diploma through UCAS we had to do it through NMAS :chin:
yeah when i went before it was through NMAS but now it is all through UCAS
