No more suffering, warrr or hunger! A world Id like to seeeeee!!
Or something like that!
lUv it! Old skool days m8
Talking about "building your life on Jesus", though, some guys were wandering around outside Boots in Colchester on Friday, preaching about Jesus. They kept coming up to me and my friend saying that we should "find Jesus" and that he'd save us and what not. I didn't have the heart to tell them that I already know I'm going to hell for having bumsex .
ETA: Best hymn ever is BLATANTLY "All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the lord God made them all...[andIforgettherest]". Ohyes.
And, DAMN YOU!
*wanders off singing, "Rise and shine and give God the glory*
Yes, I recall it. Been searching on google but cant find the full words. Definitely used to sing it at school
We were just like...wtf? Shut up, you stupid hobo-lookalike man.
I like that one .
We arrre climbiiing Jesus' ladder ladder, dooo doo doo dooo etc
Deary me. I'm not even religious.
LOL OMG!! IT'S SO COMING BACCK TO MEE!
I rememver singing a song about naked peoeple in the rain or something.
We used to sing a depressing one that went something like
"When I needed a neighbour were you there? Were you there? When I needed a neighbour were you theeerrree..
And then it went on to I was cooold I was naaaked were you there.. and everybody used to laugh. It was tres amusing
Oh i remeber that one. This little light of mine :thumb:
We used to sing that! All these memories are coming back
Anyway, if we're talking about God and stuff, I like these lyrics by Savatage (you should hear the melody too, very nice):
I am the way, I am the light
I am the dark inside the night
I hear your calls, I feel your dreams
And in the dark I hear your screams
Don't turn away, just take my hand
And when you make your final stand
I'll be right there, I'll never leave
And all I ask of you: Believe
We sing "You Shall Go Out with Joy" a lot - getting faster and all - which is hilarious with someone trying to sign!
And does anyone else remember "From the Tiny Ant"?
That was it! I liked it because it didn't mention god I was also clearly an active atheist at 8 years old! I used to not say the lords prayer with everyone else if I could get away with it...
Although one hymn I did like was that Morning has broken song... ah, I loved that
Haha thats what I weas on about! We all used to laugh aswell..
And the creed and the colour and the *something else* don't matter, were you there?
fuck yeah m8!
 Yup thats it
and the RAIN donnt matter...
:thumb:
Haha, I always thought it was NAME dont matter..
Wish I'd thought of that
Essex birds
(only joking )
That's the work of somebody with far greater power
Somebooooody greater than you or me
Put the apple in the apple tree
Somebody greater than you or me
It's the work of somebody greater than you or me
My teacher used to make us sing that every single day in assembly, though. It got *so* boring. I wanted the good hymns, damn it!
