its NOT overreacting. They ALWAYS say to get bleeding in pregnancy checked out.

Anyway, even if someone did think you were overreacting, who cares. Its your body, your baby, and its very much wanted. Youre bound to feel protective, and tbh, youll probably find that theyre very understanding.

just spoke to a nurse at the nhs direct, they say if i get any pain, or start to bleed alot, to make an emergency appt. only had a little twinge of pain today, and the bleeding seems to have stopped. so will just wait to see if it settles.

You're definitely not overreacting, I'm sure you don't need to be told to keep your eye on it and get checked out asap if there's any more bleeding. Even if only for your own peace of mind! Hopefully all will be fine, I bled quite signifigantly early on in this pregnancy and it didn't spell bad news - which was, of course, my first reaction.

Try and relax as much as possible. Enjoy your birthday and take it easy :)

ok so instead of worrying, on yourdays.com, which works out when i'm fertile, it says i would be due 7th oct, so how do i work out how far gone i am?

its calculated from the first day of your last period.
So your pregnancy is actually counted from before you actually concieved!!! It makes it easier for doctors to work out :)

it would probably make you 4 or 5 weeks pregnant I would guess.

You can use this website to calculate your [estimated] date of conception and to see how many weeks and days you are :)

It says 5 wks + 4 for the date you said :thumb:

    scrambled egg is fine.

You are supposed to avoid runny eggs though, undercooked meat, raw shellfish, certain soft cheeses and picking up catshit.
    Apart from that DONT PANIC

I would go jumping around the streets (if snowing) in the snow flashing a big ring and shouting it from the rooftops.

But then again, I am crazy.

    Go to bed.
I hate to say it but I spent pretty much the first 14 weeks in a permanent state of exhaustion, in bed and asleep by 8pm every night, and an afternoon nap.

Your body is working superhard behind the scenes at the moment, so just take it easy.

People with iron deficiency use vials, so sure. I don't know if they'd give you the same ones though.
    Congrats, as well. :)

I'd suggest Guinness but you're pregnant so that wouldn't be a good idea :p

Ive never heard of a link between tomatos and spina bifida ever - Where did you hear that?

As for iron - you can either get tablets from the doctor, or you can get liquid supplements such as floradix or spatone, which do tend to be easier to absorb and less likely to make you constipated than the tablets, but tbh, as long as youre not already anaemic, then probably just having folic acid is enough, or a pregnancy multivitamin, which will have both iron and folic acid in it.
