Bacon and fried egg rolls as a starter, then pizza to follow. We're hungover and haven't done a food shop for some time, so it's whatever's in the house...

Last night i had sausage and mash with grilled tomatoes and fried leeks and onions.

The night before I had (homemade) cottage pie :)

I need some help, got a nice young man coming round tonight. I'd like to cook something but don't want to scare him by being ridiculously over the top! Just something simple, quick, that doesn't require an oven, or any hard to get hold of ingredients.

(And not pasta or red meat)

Not sure what he likes, apart from pizza and burgers, just usual bloke food!

    any ideas?

I can make curry but it takes a long time, in the space between finishing work and him coming round I also need to clean/tidy my flat and make myself look human.

Chicken I can do though, I have a george foremans grill so maybe could marinade it?? But the marinade always seems to burn on GF grills.

I was thinking buy a nice curry sauce in a jar and cheat :D or do a thai curry because then you just need the paste and coconut milk and voila - minimal time and effort

uhh do a chicken you can cook in the oven? i don't eat meat so not sure what to suggest!

ETA: just read no oven. hmmm. cook it on george foreman and add a sauce?

Mushroom cous cous is lush! Although it has got a weird texture, I didn't used to like it cos I couldn't work my tongue when I was eating it - same with hummus.

I ended up having thai noodles
