Hey everyone, i jsut found this on the internet. It shows the devastating effects of radiation on the people around Chernobyl.

You mean depends which country it is until there is an accident and we realise oh shit wasn't that safe was it...

Somebody doesn't follow procedures
The first one can more or less be written off if the reactor is designed well and is somewhere safe where terrorist activity is minimal. The second is harder to achieve if you are in a country where workers are paid less, and are not as well trained.
Yep but error is human (or at least we say that in french) therefor nothing guarantee you anything will go well forever and the risk are really high when it come to nuclear... there is nothing on this planet that is 100% safe...

On of the girls on my environmental science A level course was affected by Chernobyl, she has terrible thyroid problems and other health problems as well.
