Whats the west wing?
A bit like 24? That's such a good show
OK thanks. I had heard about meeting the chairmen, but didnt know how soon it would follow on. I shall keep my eyes peeled and ears open.

The interview is at the 19min mark of the programme.
That's us fucked, one way or another.
I have no idea from what exactly, but they haven't gone after these powers for no reason, and that reason must be pretty serious.
There's talk of an American union...canada, US, mexico...the yanks have been wanting it for a while.
One world government here we come.
Ive been talking about it to everyone at school, the students and the teachers. The worrying thing is the reaction is the same as my intial reaction = wtf :eek2:. I think people just don't realise, perhaps I even dont. We've always had freedom. When there was a new law proposed, we all were for it or against it, and some of us even went out on the weekend and stood aroudn getting cold protesting. I dont think most people see that this government is going further away from listening to the people, and more towards listening to itself.
I mean, my economics teacher thinks he's a wizz on politics, I told this to him, and he just kind of gave me a dumb smile, not knowing what to say. He normally either agrees with me or disagrees with me, he's not the 'shrug' type of person. Its quite unnerving how little people know about this.
Maybe we're still blowing it out of proportion though. Mind you, if the Nazis just take one month from the enabling act to outlawing all other political parties, it makes you wonder how much time we have left.... Im embarressed to say I'm still not 100% sure how things go through parliament, all I know is they chat about it and vote on it. My MP almost never votes on anything, I think he's one of the most non-voting ones out there. Hopefully I can kick his arse into gear
You damned if you do, damned if you dont .
If they're allowed elections. Or is that a bit extreme?
Nope. There would no constitutional requirement for elections ever, if this law was passed and a Minister felt like it. But why bother? Just use the law to keep minority parties down, because targeting the big ones would be counterproductive, leading to nasty business involving silenced pistols and poisoned foods. They win some, you win some. The status quo remains unchanged.
The law professor on the show I linked suggested that elections would be about the only thing left. But I think he mentioned these purely because its un-imagionable to get rid of them.
"What usually happens when people without guns face up to people with guns?" was a question I heard in a film last week.
Or have a once and for all vote in the style of Hitler.
Either way.....same effect.
Eventually it will degenerate to that though, I agree. I'm just not sure when.
Besides, I'm a country boy. Not only do I have a gun, I know how to use it. Not that violence in any way is what I plan on doing when this gets passed. Violence is just another failed method that draws you into playing by their rules, justifying their laws and penalties, their view on reality. Its really a final resort, as nothing puts up mental defences as much as violence, and conflict is always mental as well as physical. My methods are much sneakier and more effective....
You haven`t rolled the Golden Apple yet ?
