We have one! Monocrat!
We had RK too... I miss that guy. At least he was amusing.
Born Trippy just annoys me for some reason.
not just a difference of opinion but complete bollox like the bit i pointed out at the begining ...
i have respect for the religion ...the violent etc etc etc bollox.
yeah ...the others at least had entertainment value.
Born Slippy probably is more NF than BNP - The BNP is a joke now, there is allsort in the party - Jews, Muslims, etc - so they practically are an extension of the conservatives now.
He might support N9S! :shocking:
Funny that, seemed to inadvertantly set humanity back a good lock of years.
Organised Religion did and continues to do that.
Yeah, Jesus was the first Revolutionary. As Castro said "I do not seem much difference between the ideas that sustain me, and that great figure, Jesus Christ."
Commie probably.
Certainly not Republican
According to the Rastafarian religion (although I'm not sure what their source is for this) King Solomon - the great biblical philosopher king - used to regulary prescribe cannabis for those who came to him with problems; and when he died cannabis plants naturally grew on his grave :chin:
However, they also believe that Jamaica is the literal hell and Ethiopia the literal heaven - so who knows :nervous:
He'd be an anarchist ffs. Duh. He was against power of any kind being exercised over people really.
And Alladin, Voting commie is kindof a contradiction.
And if Pot grows on Solomon's grave, im going there now!
"They showed Jesus a gold piece and said to him: Caesar's men demand tribute from us. He said to them: What belongs to Caesar, give to Caesar; what belongs to God, give to God; and what is mine, give it to me."
Thus no, he did not argue against power being exercised over people.
How is voting communist a contradiction? Communist Parties run in democratic elections all over the world.
Too late...
Well if he did, I'm his 13th disciple.
A commonly mis-interpreted part of the Bible, that is. He does not argue for the Taxation at all there. He says nothing of the sort, he is merley doing what is required to not be arrested: Not stating a position against taxation.
Psalms 110:5,6: The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.
Hmm.
1 Corinthians 15:23,24: But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
Well. That seems enough for the now. I am too tired.
Communism, in true form, does not want to belong in some democratic system. It beleives that Democracy is wrong, and that Socialism can only be acheived with the revolutionary overthrowal of the current system. Not working within it, like the ordinary Socialist would.
Nah, politicians did that.
It doesn't matter if they wear long robes and pointy hats, they're still politicians.
Look how he treated the religious leaders, look at the story of the Good samaritan, etc etc.
Or a complete history of th elife of Jesus Christ?
I doutb Jesus would vote for any party, he doesn't need to. He is the son of God and the one true king, why would he put some1 else in that position.
so the whole islam article thing. I dont see the point he was trying to make, the article didnt really link to his opinions.
I find some things strange though. Like some islamic campagins and so forth say that their religion and their way is not taught or representted in schools. Well back in my school days we learnt about Islam, same as we did about jusdaism and sikhism etc. Most of the religions were covered. I took religious studies on further and we did just stick to christainity but int he same vein we moved onto philiosphy and abstract subjects so it wasnt all bible study like.
I also find it strange that were they claim they want more equality they are quite exlusive. For example, I went to a church of england school but they had pupils who were jewish, siskh, muslim as well as all branch of the christian faith but in these muslim schools or jewish schools etc, they only allow those of one faith in. I just find it a bit strange really.
I think we need to learn more about Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism and other religions seeing as we live in a multicultural society. I think that learnign about them in school and about cultures will bring communities together more.
I think there needs to be comprimise on both sides. We need to learn more about their religions and so forth and they need to learn about ours and respect our way of life.
That seems an extraordinarily loose interpretation - even so, if he argued that you should not disobey authority then he is no anarchist. If he was an anarchist, then how did he propose practically bringing it about if you must obey the current regime?
Of course, this was the subject of a debate running many centuries after his death, notably in Augustine's City of God and Aquinas' writings. Most scholars took the view that Christians must obey and intergrate into the political system they were subject to but passively resist only if they were commanded to violate the word of God (i.e. the Bible). But as with any theology, the further you depart from the actual words of the text and apply your own interpretation (hence values, principles, emotions, predjudices), the easier it is to miss the point entirely.
As for:
No, "Communism" does not believe (if an abstract noun can believe something ) that democracy is wrong - in fact in its "true form" (as envisioned by Karl Marx) it would be infinitely democratic; voting taking place on every scale, internationally down to individual workplaces. It is the transition that would be undemocratic.
But it all stems from the original belief in this guy.
From the Roman persecutions to the crusades to the troubles in N.I. thousands have died in the name of this guy and his role...maybe it would be better if there was just one religion.
according to the bible there should only be one religion as well.
It's not down to religion, though some have used it as an excuse.
ETA:yea, only one religion...their religion.
