Has anyone tried to "make a saint out of Hussein"?
I certainly haven't seen it. Anyone care to post an example?

But respect is earned isn't it. And As far as i can see failing to answer questions and not being able to back things up with fact doesn't do any good on these boards.

It seems that everytime a question is asked Lukesh and ladymuck (Sorry to pick you two but they are the names I remember) just disappear for a while until the heat is off and then return with no answers or explanaitions. This results in people asking the questions again, only more persistantly and so we end up with people feeling picked on. If only you would answer the fairly simple questions put to you then these situations wouldn't arise....Don't you think?

I wouldn't say so . I might disappear for a while into the real world but I can assure you there's no heat here that I run from.

Give him more credit than that.
His post count proves anything but that he runs away from discussions.

Either way, it does happen that you engage in a discussion and don't have tome to finish it of. Couldn't exactly be expected to put your school and social life on hold for this site. Though rather that it was cause of this site, than cause of revision :(

    Me too.
Instead I've spent whole days browsing here, and told myself "will log off in 10 minutes", yet I haven't.
Either way, my two math books by now. Just need to finish chemistry, and then I am ready to get slaughtered at my exam :(

Give me an example of the kind of questions you could be asked. And what level is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Btw, here non-calculator is always the easiest.
Usually I get those perfect, and drag the grade down with the other part.

    What I feel like myself.
Though I expect yours to be written?

Mine are oral. A day after each other.
With one, I've never followed and am expected to know all kinds of rules by heart :crazyeyes
And the other is a re-take of an exam I barely passed last year due to nerves.

It's mental arithmetic - aural not oral - so you listen to a tape and do the sums. Is that right, Jacq?

    No. Oral.

I pick a question which for example says: Proof the sine-relations, and show how to apply the rule in such and such situation.
Get 20 minutes to re-read my notes, and write a disposition.
And then I get to stand by the black-board and explain for my teacher and a censor.

So why not answer the question when you get back? We all have busy lives, we don't spend all our time on here, but if I can see that someone has asked a direct question I try to answer it.
