Foreskin and sex

When you see some porn film, it's always like the bloke's foreskin is either pulled back or gone altogether. I've never seen an erect dick with the foreskin still on and I read something in a magazine about some girl complaining that there was "too much skin" when she was giving oral to some guy with his skin still on, so is everyone out there circumcised or what?

    No basically.

Thats just the way the majority of pornstars are.

it depends. American porn, theyre all likely to be circumcised. European porn, not as much.

As SuzyCreamcheese says, it depends where your porn is from. If it's from the US, its more likely to feature circumcised men. If it is from elsewhere, it will almost never.

And it depends on how old the porn is, to. Circumcision rates are dropping in the US now so in a few years time, circumcised penises will no longer be the norm in American porn. Already US porn is displaying more intact actors.

Regarding the girl complaining about 'too much skin', a lot depends on 'how much skin'. Most foreskins retract over the head of the erect penis so the skin is not a hindrance in any way. But a number don't retract at all ... so perhaps she was having problems getting access to the head of his cock - in which case, she may have felt he had too much skin.

I see. But does it have to retract for any kind of sex to go on?

the outside of the foreskin isn't at all sensitve when compared to the head of the penis, on penetration the foreskin will be pushed back, (well, usually. unless they have an abnormally tight foreskin). it's just the way it's designed, the foreskins there to protect the head of the penis when it's not errect.

No - it doesn't HAVE to but the penis works more normally when it does i.e. slides back and forth with the stroke of the penis

The outside is not sensitive. The inside, however, is. As the most richly innervated part of the penis, the foreskin has the largest number of nerve receptors, as well as the greatest variety of nerve receptors.

The foreskin performs several important functions. Most of these functions centre on making sex more enjoyable, not only for just one, but for both partners :

    Protection
    Makes sex feel better
    Lubricates during intercourse
    Lubricates during masturbation
Reduces the drop insensitivity through age
    Increases sensitivity slowing intercourse

I don't see how a foreskin makes sex feel better for a woman. Not in my experience anyway.

Circumcised penises require more lubrication with some women. If you get very wet, you probably won't notice the need for it.
