    Dictionary, right next to the computer. :D But don't think I always need it to spell a word right; for "Hallelujah" for example, I only forgot to put the "h" at the end, so I edited the post.

    Why not join a few local clubs, I've done things like Salsa Dancing, Archery, Evening Courses and even started my own website to put together social events.

    Maybe even join an online dating website that has people in your area and go out on a few dates.

    i cant be bothered to read the whole thread so if its changed topic by now i do apologise.

    i am one of the people u originally posted about. i do not go out other than to uni. this is because i dont have friends. it is not my choice, i try to make friends. i get no where

    Hmm, interesting suggestions here. Salsa dancing, archery, evening courses, I would be willing to do all these things. But I draw the line at online dating. I don't want to meet people in this area, frankly.

    I had a flat mate who would never go out to a club for a night out,
    he went to the pub or cinima or occasionaly some poncy blacktie do.

    About 20 times I asked him to come to a club, he wouldnt.

    There was a local nightclub looked a bit shitty , I was in one saturday did my very best to persuade him to come wasnt having it, I offered to drive him there pay him in and but him a drink and then promissed that if he didnt like it we could leve straight away, but still he didnt come.

    He had a disturbingly large amount of porn, and never got laid.

    Said that he "wasnt interested in some slapper" clearly a lie

    Or the he was "too ugly to pull" also a lie he was plain looking had a few spots but was over 6 ft and very broad and not fat.

    So he could at least have had a go.

    what are some people like?

    I can understand this scenario. I was repeatedly asked by people while at college if I wanted to go out. I always said no. I had a variety of reasons I would give out. I don't have the right clothes to go to a club. This club won't allow trainers, and my black shoes are in a terrible state. I'm not feeling too well today. It's not really my scene. I don't want to get drunk. Any reason I could think of, I would use it.

    I would say that it could be harder to stand your ground if the place you are going employs bouncers.

    That's not like me at all. If anyone asked me to go, I'd say yes in an instant, only after warning them that simply taking me there wouldn't be enough and they'd have to keep encouraging me if I'm to do anything. If they agreed to that, I'd be there right away.

    Yeah, but that's par for the course for klute. My mate was in there t'other night in full academic dress (bloody Chad's postgrads).
