Suicide from Bullying?
![Former Member](https://us.v-cdn.net/6030621/uploads/defaultavatar/nJHX7Z3NJVPO4.jpg)
It is thought that the two girls who formed a suicide pact were driven on by bullying concerning their weight.

For some reason, this caught my attention, and made me pause.
To seem forced to end your life - at 13 - from bullying is horrific. I just thought out loud after you finish your GCSEs you can leave school entirely - or do your alevels by studying at home - not end your entire life!
It made me feel very, very angry. I thought back to when I was bullied at school, and just wished I could have had a little bit more perspective on the situation - but who really has perspective at that age?
If I ever have children, I would hope that I would notice something or that they could come talk to me, and that I'd try and do something about it - or maybe that's what all twenty-somethings think...

he/she is a newb.. i'd be scared of heading into there to early
Trust me, one foot wrong and we'd tear you apart.
Hellfire: not that it's in the wrong place, just that she'd get a mass response in there.
that's a good way to get people to actually visit it
the people in there are very up for debate, however, as long as you are able to back up your argument/opinions sensibly then you would be fine, honestly.
EDIT:
i agree.
Littlemissy, this is joke. Joke, littlemissy.
Now you're aquainted, I will return to other posting.
fuck off
it's possible to do your GCSEs and all schooling from home, two of my mates have doen that because of bullying. Perhaps most of it is because the bullied kids don't have the confidence to ask to be taken out of school, or the parents don't realise it's possible.
your last comment is what i'd hope to be like too, perhaps something snaps when your 8 year old continues to do something naughty...
Best post ever.
oi you, behave. it was rather difficult to tell that you were joking in that post.
I never behave. Difficult to tell or not, responding with 'fuck off' isn't the exactly the dizzying heights of intellectual superiority is it?
Well you were just rambling about shite anyway, what do you expect, the Complete Works of Shakespeare?
Not everyone is arsed about spending hours writing their latest reply to you.
Anyway, it'd be a killer thread in politics and debate. Not quite sure what it is we're expected to really about though.
Ok, they killed themselves, and it's a shame they thought they were driven to it. Bullies are wankers, and?
especially as even as a joke or not, mist's point was valid.
erea V is expressing compassion about what is essentially, a travesty. how can other people make people feel so shit that they want to kill themselves? it isn't fair.
it would prolly turn into a thread debating methods to stop bullies or support victims.
Sorry.
No support system works when the children in question won't say anything.
By "we" are you trying to imply that you can handle a disgussion and i cant?
a debate is based on opinion and trying to get your opinion across to somebody else, not about one person telling others what to think
and no i dont trust you
Discuss.
Read here
it was a joke.
I saw the first time you put it was a joke
i was just saying, because i felt like it
Jolly good then.
ETA: For them as is interested, there is now a thread in Politics and Debate as well
It wasn't a very obvious joke. It's been stated it's a joke now.
Can we get on please?
get on what?
im on a couch
You truly are teh funneh :yeees:
i have no idea im on my laptop
mmm warm legs.
That's okay
no unfortunately it doesn't. perhaps inroads should be made as to why children feel they cannot say anything. better witness protection?!!?
Wassup......wrong week or sommat
Children won't tell on bullies because
a) the bullies threaten them.
b) it is seen as "telling" on them.
c) the bullied end up feeling that they deserve it.
There was a support system at my school, or so they claimed. I was bullied from the day I started till the day I left.
I told on the bullies every time they did something. Nothing was ever done. No...actually thats a lie, they did something once when two boys in my class locked my on a phone box and only opened the door to gob on me. then they kept them back for 15 mins so i could get a head start home.
The teachers got fed up with me and told me not to tell them in the end. They even made me feel like it was my fault when i got punched in the face.
The one time i faught back I got an hour detendtion.
It felt like I wasnt getting anywhere, I had no friends because if people hung aroud with me they would get bullied too.
In year 9 I ended up taking an over dose, they still didnt do anything they told me off and said I was copying others.
