Something like 75% of Saudi Arabia's wealth is based on selling oil. Taking their oil fields from them would destroy teir economy. Which in turn would destroy the American economy. Saudi Arabia has a trillion dollars invested in the American stock market and another trillion sitting in American banks. If America's economy collapses so suddenly and severley wouldn't the rest of the world follow?

If America did seize the oil fields, wouldn't the terrorist problem get even worse? I thought the hatred of the west arose from the meddling in other countries affairs. Causing countries in the middle east to collapse is hardly going to endear us to the region.
