and men travelling and tourists and guys who don't want or have the time for a relationship ...the disabled, those seeking excitement.

thats correct. I mean for a fella who has disfigurement, if he is disabled etc it must be very hard to think about even trying to find a woman.

Im all for prostitutes and id much rather see them be able to work from premises which are fairly strict, that way less attacks on these women.

If something is not banned and not legalized this means it like doesn’t exist for State. So no taxes, no jails, no fines, no subsidies, no cops, no special offices, departments, sub-departments, sub-sub-departments, thousands of bureaucrats and thousands of thousand-paged instructions.
    That is always nice.
But is this nice for guys who think they have the right to control others’ behaviour even if this doesn’t harm them, just because they don’t like this?
They are sure they know better who, why, when, where with whom and on which conditions may or may not have sex. They may argue whether prohibition or regulation is better but they never leave anybody alone in his/her bed.

    ^

But that brings to benefits to sex workers if its not controlled. It leaves them in the same position as they are now.:confused:

Control in order to protect the women is a nice idea, and one I support, I just don't think it would work.

How would the Government enforce it? By handing out licenses to brothels? As I've said, few would have the incentive to use these Government bordellos- either because the woman is in this country illegally, or because the woman is earning so much money that she doesn't especially want to hand 50% over to the Government.

De-criminalisation of offering the service would be the best solution- it means the women can get the health help they need without fear of criminal sanctions, and it will help foster good relations between the police and prostitutes, something which is desirable from an intelligence point-of-view.

In the State of Nevada in the USA you'll find legal prostitution.

!) If a woman wants to sell her services then let her. It is after all her body and her choice. Good money is found in well run brothels.

    2) Government should tax it and provide medical checkups to prevent the spread of STD"S. Also government can keep the criminal element out.

    3) Look don't be prudish! You pay for it one way or another truth be told.

    4) You will never stamp it out as long as hormones and the need for money exist.

    5) Prostitutes should be unionized and afforded pensions whic they can supplement with savings.

    6) Prostitution should be legalized in the UK because it will provide an outlet for frustrated people.

    7) Look at all the money the government can raise through taxation.

I say call off your old tired ethics and let women use their bodies for cash if they so wish to do so. In the end it is their body and not that of society!
