I would if it tasted any good. I've heard reports that's it's not too good though.

If I was in a culture where it was seen as normal like some parts of Asia, yeah I'd definitely give it a go. As far as I'm concerned I doubt they would be killed in any more inhumane ways than say a cow or a chicken it's just the fact that they're an extremely common pet in this culture that makes people repulsed at the thought.

    Gotta try everything once. :thumb:

    Yes, I would. I wouldn't have a problem with eating a dog.
However, what would put me off is if it were badly treated beforehand. I can remember seeing a nausiating programme about the treatment of cats that were being eaten in restraunts. I had to remember that that was China, and they have a different culture, and view on animals and food.

yet some people think that me killing a chicken for dinner is something barbaric ...the chickens i kill have had a nice fresh air well fed life. shop chickens are more than likely never to have seen daylight or had any kind of life ...
hard to fathom some peoples attitudes.

True. Everybody has their different ideas about what's right/wrong, and different limits/ideas about what they can cope with.

If I was in Korea or somewhere and they offered me a national dish, whcih happened to be dog, I'd eat it.

I like to think of things as 'When in Rome do as the Romans do'. I mean, in India they worship cows... in the UK they are only good for eating.

Of course killing you before eating you is wrong. That's necrophilia. You wouldn't have to be dead for me to eat you.

    *can't believe I just said that* :D

Although I've said I could eat dog, I don't think I could ever eat cat (if i knew what it was). I just couldn't do it being a cat-lover (not that I don't love dogs!).

Yeah but how many of you saying that you wouldnt eat a dog have ever had a doner kebab?:D

Dog is apparently quite bland actualy, so is kangaroo. Though its no worse than a Maccy D's beef patty.

when it says on the label ...'and other meats' ...do you know what that means?
well nothing is wasted in farming so when a frogs legs are served up ...what happens to the rest of the frog? it goes into foods for human consumption as protien or contains other meats.
students on a budget must consume more horsemeat and kangaroo and aligator than the rest of us. all perfectly legal.
if you live off the crap sold by ...'farm foods' ...read the label closely and you will find ...and other meats. phone them and ask what it is.

Does that mean you won't eat KFC because the animals are badly treated?

Yeah I'd eat dog, don't see it as different to any other meat.
