    You're 17.

For some reason I find that annoying. I just hope you stay happy for the next 18 years.

Congratulations! Turtle, why is it annoying? I personally find it really nice that someone our age is happy to be pregnant. I wish you the best of luck, Luise - keep us posted!

I think we're going to need a 'pregancy' forum soon for you guys to keep us updated!

Why is it "really nice" that someone my age is happy to be pregnant? Are you saying that all teenage girls that get themselves up the duff feel terrible about it, and they should be thrilled?

No, I didn't mean it offensively at all HunnyPot. I didn't say anything about 'all' teenage girls, I was just responding to what Turtle said, by saying that if she's happy then I think that's great.

Sorry if you took offence, it was just a remark. Nothing deep and meaningful to read into it.

I think she meant it's more heartwarming to hear of a 17 year old who's pregnant and is happy about the fact rather than a 17 year old who is pregnant and wants it terminated.

Thanks... I'm having real trouble expressing myself today, which is kind of a problem when I'm trying to write an essay.

    Congratulations again Luise.

It's only available in Scotland :) Not a bad subject though.

You're only a day older than me Luise :/ All I can say is 'unlucky'.

for the past few thousand years or more thats what young women have been doing. it's not new. it shouldn't be frowned upon. i know we now live in a godless materialistic money and 'self' 'self' 'self' driven completly mad fucking world but ...a young woman being pregnant is about the nearest you can get to being fucking 'normal'.

congratulations young lady and i hope you continue to be happy and are a great mum. i'll drink to the new little persons health in a mo ...when i can find the bleedin' corkscrew ...

I know you have a tenuous grip on reality most of the time, Roll, but a seventeen year old being pregnant is not normal in todays society. Regardless of whether we're materialistic, self-centred, godless and money-driven, it still remains that a seventeen year old girl is not in the best position to support a child. Have you completely failed to notice the general background fuss about teenage mums, especially the high rate of teen pregnancy on your fair isle.

Biologically, I couldn't disagree with you. Teenage girls are biologically designed to start breeding from about 13 onwards. But it's not socially normal. The fact she's happy shows one of two things: she's either got herself all set-up, she can support the child in a stable family life with no financial worries.

Or she just completely fails to comprehend the magnitude of what she's done.

But if she's so thrilled about it, then who's to judge? Just be happy for her. Or failing that, just don't say anything.

If having no financial worries was a prerequisite for having children, then nobody would do it. Even poor people are allowed to have children in this country believe it or not.

Okay then, less financial worries than most 17 year olds have.
