update on college

toffuna101toffuna101 Posts: 3,024 Boards Guru
so ever since the 1st of may when the open day was ive been wanting to make an update thread on college. however, ive been wanting to hold off from it until i got an offer again. and i did. so basically you know the t level that i got an offer in? yeah, theyre not running the administration and management t level. so i basically was encouraged to apply for the business course instead so i did. i had to do the interview again and in the end i got the offer to study at the college. now i believe that i have to go in for enrollment day and do all of that technical stuff to officially become a student there. i think its on gcse results day if im right. i hope i am. btw im gonna be technically retaking year 12 at the college so that will be fun.

also i got invited to a student day earlier today but i dont think im coming. id feel overwhelmed in meeting new people so soon but then again id have to meet new people eventually in september. i definitely need to go to the enrolment day though. plus i logged into their application portal and it didnt give me the option to book it so even if i did want to go the option isnt even there. but dont worry, im sure theyll give me instructions on what to do for the enrolment day.

Hey @toffuna101 i have just come across your post and I was wondering how you’re getting on? I was also really overwhelmed with the thought of meeting new people and being in those environments so you aren’t alone but the enrolment days and student days are really helpful!

Hi @toffuna101, thank you for sharing this with us. Well done on getting the offer to study at the college, that's big news! How do you feel about having to study business instead of admin & management?

I can hear how you're feeling worried about the student day and meeting lots of new people. Could you tell us a little more about what in particular worries you? Is there something that your new teachers could help with on this? We're here to listen to you!

it feels nice i guess. meeting people my age is what worries me. maybe the teachers could do some icebreaker activities.
