Hey so yes I’m aware I have many issues one being I will help anyone any time with their problems but have no idea how to ask for it myself even though it’s becoming apparent I need something. It’s a genuine problem like I’m physically incapable so thought I could try it this way instead ❤️

@IsThisJustFantasy Thank you I just feel trapped like I finished college and now nothing has progressed at all. I'm trying to get a job but it's difficult with my disability and now I feel like I'm wasting my life because of something I didn't cause of ask for but then I feel selfish for saying anything

    Hey @Lucy_21
Sorry to hear that you are feeling bit stuck at the moment. I feel like it can be really difficult especially when you have finished something and are in that ah what should I do now phase. I'm just wondering have you looked into volunteering? this can be a great way to develop your skills further and also meet new people and learn a lot and feel like you’re making a difference in the community even if employment feels too much right now. I would say maybe taking a first step of this would be to just type in a calls that you’re passionate about maybe something around disability and then having a look on their website and maybe getting in touch via email with them to see if there’s any opportunities for you to help out? I’ve also found this website really helpful opportunities that might be out there in your area or online as well. It can r quite accesible you just need to sign up with an email account

I can also hear how it can be hard to get that support you are worth and enittiled to the support and sometimes it can be really exhausting advocating for yourself and fighting for this support. I'm just wondering is there any jobs/ courses or anything

I'm just dropping in a resource that might be helpful from youth employment uk. They have lots of virtual work experience, tips/advice for employers and young people looking for jobs and videos. Hopefully there is something that helps in there

I’m thinking of you and if you have any questions or anything, just give us a shout. We’d be more than happy to help. I know it seems really tough and I but sending you so much strength.❤️

I agree - there’s benefits that volunteering provides which @ebyrne556 explained. @Lucy_21 you aren’t wasting anything. Getting into employment is hard so it’s normal for this to take time. It’s good that you’ve expressed how you feel - its not selfish to do that. We all have needs that deserve care and support, and that’s why you’re entitled to the support you need as @ebyrne556 mentioned.
