For example, is it all the appointments, treatments or the idea it might never get better or something else? There are lots of reasons why health can feel scary but there are professionals there to guide us and our support network can support us through it. Self-care is also super important!

How do you think you would manage if they were to say that? Though, hopefully, they will be able to work with you to create a plan for managing your health, especially now they (finally!) know what is causing it! That plan can also be tweaked based on how you find it over time too

It's really positive that you're in conversation with specialists who should be able to put a plan in place to help you manage the pain - sometimes it can be about trial and error and seeing what works for you. It's not an easy process, but you're doing all the right things in being open with your medical team. Do you think it could be helpful to start a diary on how you're feeling each day and how the pain is? This might help your medical team better understand your pain and how it's affecting your day to day life.
