Do you do gardening, or look after plants?

Hey all!

This week is National Gardening Week - an event run by the Royal Horticultural Society to raise awareness of horticulture, and encourage more people to get involved in gardening.

Do you look after any plants, or perhaps you might tend to a garden at home or nearby? I'd love to hear about how you all get involved in gardening!

I’ve had several plants, but I’m not a great plant mum so they usually end up dying after a few months 😬😂
The steps you take don't have to be big, they just need to take you in the right direction.

My family have got a mini garden at the back of our house which is nice. Sometimes, if I'm lucky we get strawberries too in the summer which is very fun and nice. I think one year we also grew sunflowers and had a competition to see which sunflower would grow to be the tallest. I've never personally grown plants myself though its either my parents who are into the gardening more than me. Though I have thought about buying some succulents as I would really like to have a go looking after a plant. :)

I tried growing a lemon tree and it was doing so well but it sadly didn't make it through winter! I've always wanted a lemon tree so I'll have to try again and see if it works. I'd love to get more into gardening and try growing other fruit and veg.
Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

I'm the kind of person that names my plants so I've got a cheese plant called Roberta, a snake plant called Sally and an air plant called Iona. Roberta has grown pretty huge now =)

We're currently growing tomatoes and aubergines which are going well at the moment!

I have never really been interested in gardening to be honest. Although I did plant a peach tree with my dad when I was really little but I can't remember planting it unfortunately, I was really little. The tree is pretty big now and I even eat the fruit from it sometimes, its such a cool feeling plus the peaches are delicious!

I'm not really a gardener, but I live with my parents and they are much more into gardening so we have fruit trees and vegetable plants. I water them occasionally though.
