You have been really brave reaching out to us @Past User and recognising you don't want to get to that stage despite being in a really difficult place at the moment.

Would you like to tell us a little more about what ideal support looks like for you at the moment and if anything, in particular, triggered you to burst out crying?

We are here with you and listening to you. I am really glad to hear you are safe but I can hear you are feeling really upset, burnt out and needing more support <3

You have done really well to recognise what ideal support would look like for you at the moment @Past User. Would that be like a counsellor or someone else? <3

It sounds really difficult that you have not had the best experiences with counsellors @Past User :/ Would anything help make it a more positive experience for you?

It is really important to us that our signposts are guided by you. If you would rather have a different form of support, please don't hesitate to let us know.

As you know, you are also always more than welcome to talk to us and reach out to us for support. We are all here for you and listening to you.

I can just hear you would like some additional support at the moment and would like to support you with navigating that <3

I hear you @Past User, almost like you would prefer to talk to the same person and a non-judgemental and friendly approach. Have you heard of The Mix's Counselling service? I am just thinking it would be The Mix but more consistent in providing the same person where possible! And online too <3

Do you want to expand on which way it doesn't work @Past User? If it doesn't work for you that's absolutely ok. Not everything works for everyone.

From what I am hearing, you would like some support with your well-being. You would like to talk to someone every week who is ideally the same person every week.

They would have a non-judgemental and friendly approach but not counselling. Am I hearing this right? <3

@Past User we recently had a technical issue with the counselling form that prevented people from signing up, but it was only recent and people have been signing up over the last year. Would you be able to share a screenshot of what happens when you try? Sorry for the trouble!

Thanks for flagging with us @Past User we're checking in with the counselling team and we'll get back to you about their webchat sessions and when they'll likely have some slots to sign up to. With telephone counselling, I just tested this now and it seems to have some sessions available if you wanted to sign up to those session :)

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

    That's okay @Past User :)

Good news is that the counselling team have got back to me and said anyone that's interested in webchat sessions can email them at - counselling@themix.org.uk - and they will drop you a message when some sessions become available before they are posted up on the website :)

Great question Morgan. You can share what you've mentioned here, that you're interested in signing up to webchat counselling but haven't been able to sign up yet because the sessions haven't been available to book onto. :)
