Hi @Past User. Thanks for reaching out to us and what a great question you have asked too.

It sounds really difficult that you have had a negative experience with the 121 helpline chat. Would you like to share more with us about this?

We are here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us. Could you also confirm, is this The Mix's 121 helpline chat or another 121 helpline chat?

The procedure for giving feedback to the 121 helpline chat will be slightly different depending on which 121 helpline chat it is. In the main, this is because the contact details will be different.

Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, supporting you with this soon :)

@Mike okay and what do I say?
Hmm good question. There's no set way of doing it, but I'd try and include the following:
    • A clear subject for the email
    • What service you tried to reach
    • When you contacted that service (it's helpful to be as specific as you can)
    • Explain what happened so they know what the problem is
    • What your goal is (e.g. are you raising a formal complaint or just giving feedback?)
This should be all you need, but the team at info@themix.org.uk can always ask for more details if they need them. :) And they can walk you through the complaints process if you'd like to submit one.

That's a shame @Past User and it's understandable to feel annoyed (I would too!). I believe this kind of thing can happen if the Helpline is exceptionally busy or short on people, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't complain or raise it with the team if you'd like to. It's good for them to be aware that someone wasn't happy with the service they received - feedback is always useful. :)
