It may help to write down all your stressful thoughts on paper just before you go to sleep, or talking about them with someone you trust. Letting out all these stressful thoughts and emotions can make you feel as if you took some weight of your chest. It may also help to make sure that you don't use any electronics just before you sleep.
The Mix also has an article that includes tips which could help you sleep better at night: https://www.themix.org.uk/mental-health/looking-after-yourself/how-can-i-sleep-better-at-night-45157.html
Hope this helps,
Kai
Of course, I definitely recommend trying to head to bed with as clear of a mind as possible, like through journaling and trying meditation apps like Headspace:

I was also wondering if there were any patterns to the things that worry and upset you right before bed? Are they the same things that worry you during the day or is it different?
Big hugs, and hoping this can become easier for you. Wishing peaceful nights to come to you soon xx
