Replaying a situation in my mind

Hello all.
I keep replaying in my mind the time a university deputy additional learning support tutor said she thinks she needs to get someone to go through my strengths with me. Also, when she placed a lot of emphasis on university education, without acknowledging my autism spectrum. It made me feel singled out for special attention, particularly criticism. It is not something I can just move on from because the situation has stuck with me ever since. It was affecting me today when I saw her come in the library, causing me to feel low for the rest of the afternoon. I feel awkward about sharing this with her, since she is a staff member.

I know it can feel awkward talking to staff members about these kinds of things but if someone at your univeristy said something that upsets you then you're never in the wrong for sharing your feelings, if that's what you choose to do. Hopefully talking about it here on the boards is a good first step so please always feel free to talk about what you're going through.
Thanks for the reassurance. I will keep that in mind and share how she made me feel.
😄😄
Thanks for reaching out to us. I think it is really brave of you that you have been able to talk to us about how you are feeling. I also have autism so I may be able to understand some of your situation, though I appreciate it affects us all differently.
Would you like to talk more about how you feel your autism has affected university education for you? or how you felt about being told you need to go through your strengths? We are listening if you do!
No thanks. I have already spoken to her about how she made me feel, and I feel much better at the moment. Thanks for asking, being sympathetic and understanding.
Thanks for your response. No worries at all. I am really glad to hear you feel much better at the moment and felt able to speak to her about how she made you feel. Please remember we are always here for you and listening to you
