Of course, it is important to understand the potential risks and indicators of drinking too much alcohol. However, many people enjoy having a few drinks with their friends, for celebrations, or many other reasons - and that's okay! Understanding how to keep yourself safe and others around you safe while drinking is the key
So I'm wondering - what are your best tips for safe drinking?

Also, I've found that certain types of alcohol are worse than others for getting you too drunk too fast. So if you're trying something new then drink it more slowly.
Don't leave your drink unattended ever when you're out, someone could put something in it and spike you. You could ask a friend to watch it for you.
Always eat something first. Anything is better than nothing.

Skive's The Limit
Wine tends to hit that sweet spot of something being incredibly easy to drink, while still containing a large percentage of alcohol.

As a wine drinker, this is very true. If you're not having a meal, sip the wine slowly chugging it is a 100% route to a hangover

Settling in
Also try not to take anything containing paracetamol before drinking alcohol as it weakens the level of resistance you have to either substance and can leave you vulnerable to the negative effects that can be seen from consuming a dangerous amount on either alcohol or paracetamol.

• I agree with know you're limit and stay hydrated. If I'm feeling extra poorly the next day, I'll have my water with some hydration salts.
• Sleep on your side when you're drunk and/or feeling a little sick.
• If you're a lightweight, pace yourself. You might get drunk quicker than someone who isn't so you can take your time. Also this means you can spend less on drinks to get drunk
