Hi, my name is slg123!

I am suffering badly with my mental health at the moment, I have been signed off of work since the end of August so I am stressing out that I will lose my job when I am well enough to go back as I have only just started as full time in July. This then causes me worry about not being able to afford things for my dog e.g. food, treats, toy, unexpected vet trips as they can turn out expensive. I have been referred to my local mental health team at the beginning of September and have got an appointment for later this month even though my GP referred me as urgent. I just feel like this will never end and I just want to be able to go out with my friends, walk my dog again and to get back to work even if I change my career as my job can be very mentally and physically draining.

Hey, welcome, it's really nice to have you here :)

Things sound really hard and horrible for you. I hope your appointment goes well later this month. How are you feeling about it?

Feeling like it won't ever end is really hopeless. It will end. It's understandable that you want to be able to do all those things. I'm sorry you're going through this. If you want to talk any more about your mental health you have all our support x

Have you got any ideas on what you'll do if you do lose your job? That does sound like a stressful thought. Sending love and hugs <3

Oops - just want to quickly post again to clarify that I meant "is really hopeless" as in a miserable and hopeless feeling, not as in it's useless :P x

I am feeling very nervous about my appointment as I feel like they will say that they won't change my medication which my GP, mental health nurses in A&E, family and myself thinks need changing.

I got what you meant from your original message  :)

I would like to work with animals, mainly dogs as I am a massive dog lover. I would love to work with the larger breeds as I prefer them.

I also like the song lyrics at the end of your post as I am a Linkin Park and MCR fan :)

Hey welcome <3 i hope we can support you:)  <3
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley
