Hello everyone  :3

I will be 19 years old next week on the 15th. A few days after that, I will be moving away from home for the first time to begin my first year as a university student.

I have struggled with anxiety and depression for many years. As well as this, I am waiting to be tested for autism spectrum disorder and I am starting to think that I may also have BDD (Body dysmorphic disorder). I silently struggle a lot of the time and I have a lot of emotions about things - but I'm not sure if I'm ready to talk about that quite yet.

Other than that, my interests include Japan (that's the course I'll be on at university - Japanese Studies!), nature, animals, cooking, music, art, animation, Pokemon, and the game Animal Crossing.

Nice to meet you all, I hope I can become a good member of this community :)

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

    Hi Hydrangea,
Welcome to the mix and it's great to have you here ❤  Im also slightly autistic so there are a few things which I get which could also be similar to whatever symptoms you're having. I also understand how hard it is to silently struggle and I hope that we can increase your confidence to open up xxx
