I know a lot of people don't like them cos it's a chain and all that, but believe me, in my local town, it's the best pub going!
It rocks coz the booze is cheap, the atmosphere is fantastic, and there are always friend there to carry you home
Plus... you can with an entirely clear conscience tell your parents that you spent all last night at "the library"... hehehehe
Plays music and has a dance floor as well as having cheap drinks!
One in Croydon is good! (Has been each time I go there)
Quite big as well
Where do you live then?
how can you say the food is good in weatherspoons, its fucking rank.
every time i have had food, i have sent it back
:yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:
We don't all earn good money like you!:p
come on then, you gonna answer the question?:D
I haven't really got one!
Every big England game will pack the pub out and it has the BEST atmosphere anywhere in the South of England. Rammed to the rafters, footy chants, dancing (when we win...) and much much fun!
Damn cant wait to get back home at Easter...
na na nana naaaaaa im still here!
[/kiddy mode]
well... i can like, do some decent shopping here! so, um, ner!
damn u!
[/insane jealousy]
Its mine too because you drive me there !
They're called The Shearbridge and The Westleigh Hotel.
The union bars are nice, and cheap, though.
In Southampton I used to go to a place called Goblets, and some pub near the uni called The Highfield (occasionally).
And can't forget The Anchor in Totton.
Little place called the windmill for a quiet drink. Cheap, but tasteful, always got the tv on, pool table around, quiz machines, lots of comfy seats and a freidnly local atmosphere....plus it's close enough to my house to just about manage to walk there....apart from when I'm lazy and don't like the 3 mile walk.
For a dance bar, it has to be Jam in Blackburn, but it's damn expensive.
i should have a taxi light on top of my car and skyline writen on the side
Been many a time.... they had live music on a friday night
The burt mobile !
Aye
I wish they hadn't refurbished Goblets. It was good before.
Does it still have a free jukebox?
The Dungeon  never been there, but that means going through Bevois Valley... at night :nervous:
The free jukebox went with the refurbishment
And Bevois Valley, nothing compared to St Mary's and i got lost through there on 1 of my first nights out in Soton, shat a brick i did!:nervous:
Many a good night was had in Goblets.
St Mary's...my college was there...it's OK in the day.
But at night... :nervous:
Haha! Ya big pussies
To answer the question, a place called The Barras - it`s cheap...it`s a family pub so can take the kids of a Sunday, and it`s within staggering distance!
[rant]
Totally agree with you there mate! You even have to fetch your own knifes+forks and condaments (which are usually the other end of the pub!) WETHERSPOONS = SHIT
[/rant]
It might be...I forgot.
Flake_Mustaine is still in Soton...I'll ask him.
Northam's worse than St Marys, though
