    Right, us Essex girls ARE clever! We're not the stereotypical tarts in white stiletto's, no knickers and a quick shag at the bus stop!:eek:

    But for all you people out there from somewhere else who reckon we're thick as shite, try this!:p

    3 men go into a hotel. They book a room, costing £30, so they paid £10 each. They went up to their room.
    Afterwards the receptionist realised he had over charged them, the room was only £25, so he sent the bellboy after them with the remaining £5 change.
    On the way, the bellboy couldnt figure out how to split £5 between 3 people, so he kept £2 for himself and gave the 3 men £1 each! (the cheek of it! :rolleyes: :lol: )
    So, this meant that having had the change back, in actual fact the 3 men had only paid £9 each for the room. Add this to the £2 the bellboy kept, gives you £29.
    Wheres the remaing £1? :confused: :crazyeyes ;)

    Yeah, but if you think of it like that then they paid too much for their room because they paid £27 for it. You wouldn't *add* the £2 that the bellboy took you would subtract it from the total of £27. I dunno.

    Blah, I'm so bored and I have an essay to do.

    But if you're subtracting the £3 from the original £30 total then it stands to reason that you'd be subtracting the £2 too rather than adding it to the £27?
