Headspace mindfulness app

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hey

Keep hearing about this and finally downloaded it yesterday and explored it - if you're interested in mindfulness then it's worth a look: https://www.headspace.com/

It starts with a programme called Take 10 which is 10 x 10 minute guided audio meditations - after that you can unlock more that address particular topics like health and relationships.

There's a video that explains how it all works. I tried the first one and almost fell asleep! It really cleared my head

Taking just 10 minutes for yourself each day can be a great way to reduce stress and worry - just thought I'd share it in case anyone fancies giving it a go :thumb:

I completed the take 10 a while ago, it made me realise just how much my mind wanders.
Received an email about the app and downloaded it. Haven't had a proper look yet though.

I have the headspace book which is great, so I'll give the app a shot. It's amazing how difficult it can be to find that 10 mins in your day to start though!

I agree, although did manage to complete the app in the end...

What are some of the barriers, do you think?

Tiredness, feeling stressed, having commitments, kids, and not being able to find a quiet space to do it I would say for the most part!

I have. I have been doing it every day and you can also go back to it if you need to repeat it without having to go onto the next lesson type thing.
" And everywhere I am, there you'll be, your love made me make it through, oh I owe so much to you "
" So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing, thanks for all the joy they're bringing, who can live without it, I ask in all honestly what would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we? So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me "
    '' It's a beautiful day and I can't stop myself from smiling "
