    I would love it to be... Maybe it's not russian, alway thought so. But I am named after a polish great aunt or so (mad dad). My mum thinks that it comes from the biblical name Hanna.

    It would be awesome if it was an italian name, then I just need to get my mums surname, and everyone would be convinced that I was Italian :D

    Is it really my fault that my parents decided to give me a welsh name to celebrate my heritage?! Hmmm? No, i don't think so. Neither is it my fault that my mother has aspirations of upper-middle class-ness.

    Actually, off on a bit of a tangent, i rang my mum while i was in somerset and left an answerphone message, and i listened to it when i got back. My sister goes to a private school and she gets her friends ringing her up and i kinda take the piss somewhat ('anna, there's a 'Yah' girl on the phone for you' - you know the type of accent). Anyways, i listened to the message, and I SOUND LIKE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooooooo traumatised... must work on sounding like a southeast londoner...

    My name's Hannah, which being a palindrome (same backwards and forwards) is nice and easy to spell... but ppl STILL insist on leaving letters out so i get called 'Anna' or it gets written Hanna. Can live with 'Han' tho cos i tend to shorten other ppls names!!

    In case you are even vaguely interested - its from the Hebrew 'Hananai' which means God Has Blessed - so what'd'u know > God's blessed you all with me!!

    There's nothing wrong with your name. Hmm you do sound like you know how to speak properly, but I'd rather that than you sounding like some cockney slappa' or worse still, me :p

    my name's amanda louise, just known as amanda, no one really calls me these but also known as mandy, mindy, mand, man (bin called it) and its latin for "meaning of love" ahh!

    I think thats a really pretty name!

    My names Elisa, pronounced like Lisa with an E on the front hehe :) or, Elise but with an A at the end!

    Lots of people always get it wrong and call me Elissa or EliZa which gets quite annoying, but ah well I've put up with it all my life, I can handle it! hehe :)

    Someone once spelt my name Laurna. :mad: People call me Laura all the time, very irritating.
