Prom, What did you wear?

Prom season is a'comming! (Ok, 4-5 months but they'll zoom past!)

What style was your dress, where did you get it from & how much did it cost?

I 'd looking at the older years prom pictures, loved the girls dresses! So I was wondering, what did thesite gang wear for theirs?

I don't have any photos of me in my prom dress online, but I wore a dress that my mum made when she was 19. It was dark brown with a really gorgeous neckline and was really simple and lovely. And FREE!

I wore an old dress of my mum's, but I shortened it to knee length. It didn't fit, and I looked awful.

I'm very lucky in that my mum is a dress-maker. We had a prom in year 11 and then a 6th form ball (ie another prom) in years 12 & 13. A lot of my friends went with a more expensive dress from Monsoon in year 11 and then got slightly cheaper but still nice dresses from BHS etc in the later years.

Mine just became slightly less OTT as they went on (not that you can really tell!)

So yeah, the top is from year 11, middle is year 12 and bottom is year 13

we were lucky to get a disco when i was at school. In fact i dont even think there were those past primary.

This was taken in my second year of uni but it's the dress I wore to our leavers' ball.

I'm the one on the left. It was from Monsoon and (if I remember rightly) cost around £80.

I love it - i have a sari but I've never plucked up the courage to wear it in public except for to a bond party where i went as octopussy.

My leavers ball was so long ago i've not digital photos of it - but i wore a beautiful yellow shot silk shift dress from Oasis - which i love and still own.

First is prom (year 11)
Second is leavers' dinner (year 13) [sorry doesn't show my dress too well.... only one I have]

I have other pics of me wearing a dress from other formal school events but these will do for the time being :P

And yes, I have cropped my face out.

Sarees are beautiful, I've always envied women who can wear them, they always look stunning.

They didn't have proms in hicksville :razz:

I remember a disco in primary school where they played this.

There were about 7 of us there (I had 8 people in my school year), jumping around drinking vimto and trading tazos.

Why would I want lodes? Myy mum has over 50, which I can where as well
I think I prefare Salicamises compared to sarees

If I recall correctly I wore my best lacy pants, round my ankles in a stairwell of the airport hotel that was hosting the prom. Ah, to be young and drunk, horny in love.

My prom is in 4 months... Still no dress... But I know what one I want, I'll post a picture later

Could I have your help guys?
I've come back to reality and know I cannot spend £190 on a prom dress...
But I cannot find any other dresses I like! I think I've looked at every single online shop and there is zilch!!

But just in case I missed something, could you help me find a dress?
I want a long dress and not to expensive (So under £100...)
