Any boxsets or on demand stuff? I recently got into Grand Designs... been ploughing through them on 4od! Also Lost, and I just starting watching a Fonejacker DVD from ages ago.

If videos count (VHS/DVD/blu-ray), then I'm currently watching Doctor Who from the very beginning - 1962 onwards. I'm currently on the Tom Baker 1974+ series. I'm finding this more enjoyable than the contemporary Doctor Who, and I'm not even a die-hard fan. I just like Dr. Who for the sci-fi genre, but I am getting into it more and more :-)

I'm currently addicted to 'Inside the Actor's Studio' it's insanely po-faced at time but also has some stunning moments. Mickey Rourke talking about dropping out of acting and just punishing himself in the boxing ring is astonishing as is the remarkable episode with Sean Penn.

Just watch the 5 series of the actual show. The movies that reference events in the series are full of spoilers, the others are just filler. Some are quite good but at it's heart it's the 5 original series of the show that matters.

Is the fifth series worth watching? I still have the first two VHS tapes(!) of series 5, unwatched. I enjoyed the first four series, but when he rushed to finsh the story in the second half of the fourth series, it kind've spoiled that, and left me with no interest for the rest.

I'm watching the new Battlestar Galactica at the moment. In just the same way as Babylon 5 was a huge step up from Star Trek, this is far better than a lot of TV

Love it. I understand that you guys find it funny, but I find it that much more funny growing up in a mostly Pacific Island school ;)

Yeah, the first half or maybe first two-thirds are a huge step back - clearly JMS didn't have a lot of direction and ends up rehashing old plots. However the final four or five episodes deal with the fate of a lot of the characters and are fantastic and epic. The fate of Mollari is overwhelming and resolves a lot of the plot threads from early seasons.

It's worth it for them - check out the reviews on tv.com and you should be able to see when the episodes worth watching kick in.

And big up for BSG - Jo7 is just watching it for the first time and I'm damn jealous, I'd love to be able to be taken on such a wonderful, surprising ride again without knowing what's coming.
