I try to start convosations on MSN with loads of people and i get the same old shity convo

People understand though, that if I'm on msn and I'm not starting a conversation with them, then I don't have anything to tell them or ask them. I've had the few that class that as rude, but I don't see how...
It is annoying and boring when all you ever get off someone is, "Hi, How are you, What you doing" THEN "What you been up to?", then the process might repeat after 5-10 mins.
What also annoying is the use of 'lol', why do people use it?!?!?! Especially when you're busy for example and the convo flashes up and all it says is lol.... why bother?!?!?! :mad:
I do say lol but i dont actualyl laugh...outloud.. if i do id say 'Lol irl' but usually it amuses me in my head
I've never had that conversation on msn... I think all conversations on msn that aren't with my girlfriend go like this:

Me: hello
Other person: Hows you??
Me: meh. You?
Other person: Im good. Whats up with you?
Me: has lost interest in the conversation and stopped talking
I don't go for watching people strip on cam. It's kinda pathetic if you ask me... If it isn't in person, you might as well be watchin porn. webcam sex and porn are both pretty disgusting to me... but at least in the latter no ones feelings are hurt.
I however act 'dull' if I want to kill a convo I don't want to have since it works almost every time.

Yeah! I do that as well. I don't see a point in getting involved in a conversation when I know I won't be able to commit time/enthusiasm.
To be fair, it is mostly Facebook chat I ignore and the only reason I leave THAT on is because my best friend (who is never on MSN anymore, never texts me, messages me....he's a bit rubbish these days) is on there when he's on FB so I can actually talk to him for a change.

Also I'm on MSN cause well, out of habit really. Also, sometimes I'm just hoping to see certain people or am too busy talking to somebody else. It's more awkward to forget a convo than not start it. Hate when it happens.
