I think a lot of men see orgasms as the most important thing because they do not find sex as emotional as women in general (maybe most men are more immature and self-centred leading to less emotional interaction for them?) and so the only focus of sex for them is to increase pleasure until they orgasm. This leaves them feeling as if they have failed when their partner does not - so perhaps it's not simple insecurity, but inadequate understanding in many cases?
I was with one guy who kept on & on & on until he could "make" me come, the longer it took, the less likely it was to happen. It got to a point where sex was a real chore because there was so much stress, was I or wasn't I going to be able to come this time.
He needed me to come to prove that he was a man in bed. Needless to say, I went off sex and the relationship ended.
With my husband, it's totally different, he is confident enough in himself to know that I am with him because I want to be & not because he can take me to extended heights of physical pleasure. About the what you do after sex thing well the more i have the more i want it or sometimes i fall asleep but only if i was really tired but then i wake up and want ti straight away hehe.
Faking orgasms.....well i have to admit i have done it once, not to please the guy though but because i just couldnt be arsed with it really and i wasnt turned on at all and thought it was a good way of ending it so i could get some sleep,
i think there is a big difference from faking it and really having one, for one thing your muscles arent tensing inside and all that stuff, and theres no (*god i feel embarrassed god know whys*) juices so to speak and the warmness or the swelling of certain parts.
